I know Im probably using the wrong terminology here, but by "setting" the columns I mean Im trying to find a way to enter a formula in cell A1=B1+C1, and have it automatically apply that same formula to the rest of column A without me having to re-enter it or copy/paste it. So as I populate columns B and C, column A will automatically know to sum their total for that row. Its really not hard to do manually, but as my sheet gets more complex it will save me loads of time

Click the box you like, and bottom right drag and it will duplicate the formula

Using the bottom right drag did the trick, so far its the best option Ive found. I drag it down a couple pages worth of rows at a time and go from there, much better than re-entering formulas

Winner.

It's the best way, because it actually duplicates the logic in the original formula and allows you to skip updating the cell #'s etc.

You can also do it to copy a whole row at a time for the same purpose. The only time it gets annoying is with dates, because it assumes the next day following the date listed, which isn't always what you want. Otherwise, it's supreme.
