I've said it many times over but the last continent in the world I want to go to is Africa. You can tell me over and over that as long as you stay in the tourist areas you'll be fine just like you would be in major US cities. That's all well and good but Africa in general is about 1000% crazier and unpredictable than anywhere in the US. I feel the same about most of Asia, South America, and Central America. If I'm travelling internationally I'm sticking with Western, Northern, and parts of Southern Europe, Australia, New Zealand, and Japan. Oh, and Canada but that's not really international.cdub21 wrote:you really wanna goto uganda with kony and his kid fighters running around?

I went to a show in New Orleans in probably the mid to late 80s, all of 5 years old.The_Niddler wrote:I felt that same way about George "The Animal" Steele.
Once I found out he was a teacher and a regular guy
Steele fought. IIIRC, I don't even think he won, but he somehow got one of the championship belts and was walking out with it. I was sitting on and seat right down the long aisle they walk to and from the dressing room and ring.
I wasn't really THAT close to him, but I reached and tried to touch the belt on his shoulder. He stopped and leaned in towards me, at this point probably 5 feet from me, and just yelled:
"MY BELT"
I was completely frightened, probably never been so scared in my life.

Re: Uganda
He's not even in Uganda anymore, he's in DRC and CAR... like 10 people have told me about this in the last few days.cdub21 wrote:you really wanna goto uganda with kony and his kid fighters running around?

My brush with wrestling greatness was in college. We played at Southeast Missouri and they had a WWE show going on the night before. We had to walk through the locker room hallway to get back to the auxiliary gym and a bunch of the wrestlers were just kind of hanging around. The Big Show (He was just "The Giant" back then) was just standing outside one of the locker room doors as we walked by. I made eye contact with him and he said "What's up big man?" and shook my hand. His hand was about as thick as a small piece of pork roast and I'm used to just engulfing peoples' hands when I shake them.shel311 wrote:I went to a show in New Orleans in probably the mid to late 80s, all of 5 years old.The_Niddler wrote:I felt that same way about George "The Animal" Steele.

We got to go to the show after our practice. There was a tag team match between Lex Luger and some other guy (I'm sure Biffy or Riccio could tell me who his tag team partner was in 98 but I can't remember) and the Road Warriors. Luger got thrown out of the match and as he was walking back through the tunnel some drunk hillbilly cussed at him and threw his drink and popcorn at him. That guy got escorted out very quickly. The next day at our shootaround some of the arena workers said Big Show had gone back in the auxiliary gym after the show and was shooting around. They said he was dunking and about brought down an entire goal assembly.

You're tempting fate. That's like visiting Compton or Detroit three times.Uuaww wrote:He's not even in Uganda anymore, he's in DRC and CAR... like 10 people have told me about this in the last few days.cdub21 wrote:you really wanna goto uganda with kony and his kid fighters running around?

For the record, I'd spend three nights in Capetown long before I would do an afternoon trip to Juarez.

It seems like every show nowadays about sharks is filmed in that one location. They were showing it on 60 Minutes just the other night.

Whoa whoa whoa, what's this "our" bar in the Keys??
I don't remember Shel signing on for a cut in this bar venture???
Your boys will be about 25 by then, they can be bouncers. I guess that's your contribution.

Make it free beer and this role, and I don't even need to be a part owner, and I think I'm coming out ahead of everyone in the deal.Cnasty wrote:I dont remember your job duties besides hanging out and harassing the hot tourists
