When I was in the farm I was told that I shouldn't have any strategy points...now, I realize that some of you have been around since the beginning, or close, and might not have ever even been in the farm, but if the league is telling guys that strat points are frowned upon when they are in the farm, but then they play guys that use strat points, its frustrating and seems like either 1. the person only cares about the win and not straight play or 2. new guys come in and get the shaft. Personally I will never play with strat points only because I think they all have some sort of method to take advantage of the AI...I mean, that is why they are on here, to take advantage of something. I understand if guys want to use them, however, I think as a whole, using them negates what the league is supposed to be all about "Fair Play" and 'Having Fun". I don't find it fun to have the ball stripped 4 times in the red zone because someone has strip the ball set. To me, that is unrealistic and I have never personally seen that in a real game...or someone running play the pass but in a 4-4 no matter what offensive set I am in. Its completely unrealistic and not sim play. I think there either needs to be a rule that says no strat points, or everyone just use it and the league can become a "win at all costs" type of league. Quite frankly if I want to play guys that will use strategies to cover up their inadequacies I can find that cheese in the east or west lobby any time of the day. I thought when I came in to this league I would be playing guys that wanted to play straight up and have fun without having to cheat to win...but after reading this thread it seems I was incorrect.

and you're an asshole. If we want to ban strategy points for next season, fine lets do it. But I use moderation in my gameplay and my reports show it. Hell you even agreed to keep the LSU-Tulane rivalry going against me because you realized my play had improved.

This problem and post and pages of back and forths won't ever go away, unless we just ban all the strategy stuff.

Some folks don't like it and will, or say they will, dock for it even if you use it once or twice all game, even though that is clearly within the rules.

To be honest, I have more of an issue with the way people grade then some of this strat stuff. Or again, the way they say they grade lol. Because everyone talks about how they hate just about everything that isn't vanilla, and yet most guys are getting perfect coach reports every year, go figure.

I just think people like to complain and we haven't had a topic like this is a long time so we were due. I mean I only have 1-2 games every YEAR that aren't enjoyable in the NDL. What will happen is nothing right now because it's the end of the game cycle and when NCAA 2013 comes out they mods and whoever tests the game for us will figure out which features EA fucked up on and will lead to cheesing and other BS and ban them. Then we will argue at the beginning of the season (mostly over AA vs. Heisman; and Dropdown vs Drag and drop) and the cycle continues.

I actually enjoyed playing Uuaww this season. It was a breathe of fresh air to see someone play with a completely different offensive mindset, an up-tempo/hurry up offense. There were times where someone else would have docked him for using hurry up (never when the clock was stopped) just because they couldn't get their defense set up the way they want but it was fun playing against someone that doesnt run the same type of offense as 80% of the league. He got all 5's from me and would have gave a 10 in there if it allowed me to because of the fun factor and the originality of his offensive play calling.

I never paid any attention to if he did or not when we played. I think in the 3 seasons so far this year I might have used play pass once, I don't think I did but if it was 4th and 15 at the end of the half or game and I know someone wants to throw a bomb down the field I might use it

I dont use any of that gimmick bullshit. There are advantages to using all the agressive settings. Hell, up until recently I didnt even know you could key a reciever. I look forward to the 36 games in an 7 month span I get to play, if I'm lucky I get to play in a bowl, and if I dont oh well. I love this league, its hands down the best in the world. This league about much more than a video football game.
