FML! I got on last night to try to play my OD game. Had to download the patch, and noticed my PB was fucked after tryign to save it. Hit the power button and went to bed.

So if I create a new playbook will it be fine or did the patch fubar custom playbooks all together?

at this point the best bet to complain is to bombard their twitter and facebook page.

that is public stuff and they, like every other company, are image concious.

nope, i was offline when i started the game and it forced me to sign in and then update before being able to play.

fyi, u can cancel (hit "circle") when that message pops up

it will allow you to go into the game and you can then manually write down (or take phone pics like i did), of your formations and if you want to, your plays

then after doing the patch, u can create a "new" similar book

Except that now, thanks to them breaking up special teams from one playbook to like 6, you will not be able to add all of your formations if you had a full book.

per EA blog notes on the patch:

"Before using the previously existing playbook you will need to first resave the playbook, once you do that you will be able to take it in-game. If everything works great, then your playbook problems are solved. If not you will need to delete that playbook and create a new one.

One other note about previously existing custom playbooks, once you resave the playbook the audibles will be reset to default. You will need to reset your custom audibles in order to use them in-game."

You can see the pb even after the patch.. SOme plays or formations may be missing in the old pb .. but that is because EA removed some formation and plays and renamed others. Which means you wont be getting some of those plays back no matter what.

@EANCAAFootball so I was playing my $60 game last night, and I got a new patch and now my game is FUCKED. What happened?

I imagine all the guys experiencing playbook problems jumped right online to play? After hearing some of the problems I went play now against the CPU and it wouldn't even let me into a game with a custom playbook. Forced me to re-save the playbook and don't see too many problems online.

I do see the no-huddle issue though. If disconnect % drops I'll think this patch was an improvement.

In two games in dynasty and one online I was able to float a pass over a linebacker twice and did not see crazy closing speed by defensive backs on out routes. Need to play more but the more I play the more I see past all these complaints flooding in.
