Re: First Patch Info
Yeah I dont think its that bad...there arent any elevated passing numbers like last couple of years. It forces you to make better reads and not think you can just squeeze it into any small opening in a zone like years past. Im enjoying the challenge this year.buckeye76 wrote:Try not to be a debbie downer.....brett11253 wrote:Haha I'll hold my breath.![]()
And for that fact the game isnt that bad, I ll take this game over the past 3 for sure. I know early I thought it was a cluncky type game, but now as I played the game more Im liking it more and more.
Re: First Patch Info
I really don't have problems with the gameplay. Although the one where the corner in the flat zone standing still while the QB just runs right past him has bit me in the ass in an online dynasty. My biggest issues is the bugs in the OD and RTG modes, I enjoy having these both and they really made it interesting this year with the additions they've added to both modes. But when you have things happening like punts on 1st down when simming it kills the whole running as just a OC, DC in Dynasties and I've seen guys winning and then there game ends up a loss. It kills those modes of the game for me cause I know it's not working right and I don't want to sit there and lose games or even win games because of errors in coding of the game. EA did a shit job of quality control in getting this out.

THAT LEAVES ME OUT.RB4SC22 wrote:big time... Its like linebackers and DBs knock down balls at the most ridiculous angles, but it is a video game and they cant master all the dimensions I'm sure. Im starting to get a hang of it though, just have to be really smart with passing, and be a good improviserautiger730 wrote:
+1 more.
Line of sight in this game is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay off. How can a DB with their back turned: 1. immediately know when the ball has been thrown and 2. break directly to the receiver it has been thrown to and 3. have enough closing speed to make a pick or bat the ball? The receivers sometimes don't even attempt to catch the ball if I can't switch fast enough, most of the time they get hit in the head by the ball.
IMO, THEY SCREWED THE POOCH WITH THIS YEAR'S SUPER STEROID DEFENSE.
I've had one game over 30points, and that was a triple ot game vs. beefy where he won 54-46.

New System Update today, wonder if the patch may be part of that update. Any confirmation regarding the patch in NCAA 2012? I am at work, and my nephew said there was an update. Please tell me that NCAA updated the game...

BTW, hate how many INTs some people are throwing. We have had a ton of games with under 21 points TOTAL thats just dumb. Personally, I am not seeing it, I am able to pretty much score as much as years past, but I still give up a ton of points as well.
Re: First Patch Info
The LBs batting down passes that are meant for 10+ yards behinds them kills me. That and DBs reacting the second the ball is thrown despite not even turning around just proves that EA has no idea how to program the defense. It’s just cheap tricks masquerading as AI.

the problem is if they created the game for the NDL type player, the masses would probably hate it. EA wouldn't do that.UCWeiser wrote:+1Hoos wrote:The LBs batting down passes that are meant for 10+ yards behinds them kills me. Re: First Patch Info
LB's do the instant change of direction as well. Yesterday, I saw an OLB moving left into his area in a cover two and I had a WR running a slant behind him. My WR was about to move into an opening in the zone so I threw the ball and the LB instantly changed direction from left to right and leaped about 42 inches off the ground and diagonally to his right to knock the ball down. So much for the much vaunted "Locomotion" system that required players to build up to top speed.Hoos wrote:The LBs batting down passes that are meant for 10+ yards behinds them kills me. Re: First Patch Info
Well, what about a cover 2 zone and the CB presses and releases to the INSIDE, and you throw the go route to the WR and all of a sudden the CB is there again for either the pick or bat down. The CB has released the damn receiver! Wide ass open, but you can't get it to him. The problem all started with the damn sensitivity on throwing. A tap results in a 50 foot high lob, even on a flare route to the RB, so to counter that we all press hard and it is a LASER 6 ft off the ground for 30 yards...sigh, it will never be perfect...

Watching the physics on this game (like stated earlier, a LB going one way suddenly jumps the opposite way at an instant and gets a pick....or a DB who picked me the other day where he had his back turned and was 5 yds in front of the WR, and turned the MOMENT the wideout stopped even though he wasn't looking, came back 7 yds and jumped a curl route for an INT) makes me long even mroe for FIFA's physics system in late September....and then pray that they bring that engine into NCAA.
Btw, anybody else seeing their wideouts on the outside have comeback/curl routes....and they just turn it into a streak on their own???

Yeh, it seems like it is all based on your timing of when you throw what they'll do.jsence2 wrote:

Yeah, if you want to throw it as early as possible, you have to throw when they start the break. if you throw it anytime before they start it, you will over throw it like you are throwing a streak.UCWeiser wrote:Yeh, it seems like it is all based on your timing of when you throw what they'll do.jsence2 wrote:

Re: First Patch Info
Simple solution, run the ball on every play. That works without a hitch.
