Re: College / NFL Betting Thread
Well they do suck and probably only had 4 wins so obviously they don't win much, but they stay in the game more often at home. I think they took the steelers and cowboys to OT last season at home. I'm just not too high on the Chargers, mainly because of Norv Turner. I think the Chiefs will be improved this season with Weis at coordinator.

Wow... couldn't get my money on Baltimore fast enough this morning.
It could just be my lack of faith in the Jets... I just don't buy all of the hype.
Bal +1.5 (4 units... my max)
SD -6 (1 unit)

Re: College / NFL Betting Thread
I LOVE KC tonight, call m crazy and wanting a lot of losers in a survivor pool, but fuck, Cassel has Weis who isnt a slump OC, and I mean, we all draft their WR's (Bowe, Chambers) and HBs in fantasy for a reason right? They need Cassel to put it together.
SD is without Jackson, a new HB in Mathews who is still a rookie, and no LT in McNeil.
I am def playing KC +6 if thats what it is, but I'm throwing some on the ML too.

I can't find your 4th winner, tren, so please point it out if i missed it somewhere and i'll correct it. Time to improve for Week 3.
Again, only bets posted before they go OTB count.

About how much a month do you guys think you spend on betting sports? I'm talking an average per month during the fall/football season.

Re: College / NFL Betting Thread
This will be my first full season. I played from Oct through the SB last season. So I really don't know where I'll settle in, or where I really should be. As I was telling Trendon in some IMs... I'm doing this all for fun. I'm a very small time player and I just like the little extra kick on some of the games. if I leave where i start, I'll consider this a success. I just fund the betting from playing poker online... which I take much more seriously. I haven't done the research like I have with poker to understand bankroll mgmt etc. I just do what feels right.
This weekend I think I played about $140 total. Last weekend was right around $100. I did some baseball betting throughout the last few weeks, but I'm finding that to be nearly impossible to predict. I was expecting it to play out a bit more like hockey, which I managed to make a decent dime on last winter. So I've sworn off betting baseball. And I'll likely avoid the NBA and only do hockey until the FB season ends.
One thing I have found that I absolutely LOVE betting on... GOLF! Holy crap that is so fun and VERY straight forward if you know the players.

Re: College / NFL Betting Thread
NBA is fixtastic, but baseball is very difficult. You're supposed to ride streaks, but then you have games where Clay Buchholz gives up 5 ER in 1+ innings in Oakland for no f-ing reason.
General rule is 2% of your bankroll on each wager and to flat bet everything (make the same bet on every play once you establish your normal bet in a sport known as your unit)
Just don't chase and try not to bet road favorites and you should keep some money in your account

I've won $1200 on video keno this week at MGM Grand Detroit so...no plays for me this week. Actually, may not be any plays until I get an enhanced license and travel over to Canada for Saturday's. As far as I know the sportsbooks in Windsor are just like Vegas, maybe Nick can confirm.
