Never too early to start. This is moreso to get peoples opinions on over/under on season win totals and shit.
My first play will definitely be on Southern Cal vs. Hawaii. I think they absolutely slaughter them.

No I don't. I have a full-time position now and I have to sign off throughout the year with compliance. Just because Wasik does it when he shouldn't (love ya mark) doesn't mean I can do it.VeniVediV1ci wrote:you know full well you have the ability to do it

i'm saying you have the ability to do it, cuz you can click a computer, so it just isn't the same as not being able to cuz it's your choice

That's like saying I can stab someone. Obviously I have the ability (unless my knife skills are debated) but I would never do it because its a terrible and illegal idea...VeniVediV1ci wrote:i'm saying you have the ability to do it, cuz you can click a computer, so it just isn't the same as not being able to cuz it's your choice
I never said I couldn't go against the rules, I just said that I miss being able (allowed if that makes you feel better) to do it

I'm not gonna break the rule man. I've got 20-30 some years of athletics ahead of me... might as well get used to it nowDRiccio21 wrote:lol, you're kidding right?Seeitsaveit13 wrote:No I don't. Re: College / NFL Betting Thread
Depends. The top few make around a Mil, but most of that is endorsements. 99% of them have other jobs (lots of bankers, finance, lawyers, equipment reps) lots have jobs with like Warrior and Brine too. Normal players around 20-30k, some less. Some play in the indoor leagues too so they make some for thatCnasty wrote:How much do professional lacross players make? Honest question.

So was that what you meant for 20-30 years?
How good ARE you? Honest question again, sorry.

Lol no. I work for our athletic department, and I'll be working in athletics for a long time to come (hopefully).Cnasty wrote:So was that what you meant for 20-30 years?

I'm done playing now, I was 2nd in the nation for most of the year last year, ended up 4th. I was 2 time all conference. I would've probably gotten a chance to start by my senior year if I had stayed at Navy (top 8 lax program every year) but we all know that story. I've hung in there with pro players at camps and tournies that I've played at along the way, but I wouldn't be able to make a pro roster (maybe indoor).
Why do you care all of a sudden (or did I just get duped into thinking that you cared?)

Re: College / NFL Betting Thread
i mean this with 100% no disrespect.
those rules arent for you man. nobody gives a shit if you are gambling.
i mean its borderline crazy for you to think you cant do it.
just dont be an idiot about it. use a buddys name, dont use computers in your office. i mean if you dont think 75% of college athletes, college coaches and executives don't gamble on sports then you're nuts.
i mean you're also not supposed to cross the road unless your in a crosswalk too

Re: College / NFL Betting Thread
Oh I know man, hell I was doing it for the whole first year before I even found out I wasn't technically supposed to. I just don't feel like it any more to be honest. I really don't bet as much as I used to anyway, I had a lot on the WC, and won a bunch, but I just don't do it as much as I used to anyway.DRiccio21 wrote:i mean this with 100% no disrespect.

Just not worth it anymore, but I know what you're saying

Re: College / NFL Betting Thread
I'm trying to gauge the Pitt @ Utah matchup. Utah laying 2.5 points at home. Looks like something I don't wanna touch right now. Any thoughts or picks on it? Definitely the most intriguing matchup for Thursday but not sure I wanna mess with it. Other than that:
Ohio State -28.5 @ Marshall should be safe?
USC -21 @ Hawaii looks good.
Southern Miss +13.5 @ South Carolina. South Carolina beat NC State 7-3 last season on opening Thursday and rarely scored a lot of points. Can South Carolina even put up 13.5 points? Southern Miss usually has a halfway decent team and goes to a bowl.
Basically, not sure if I wanna play anything on Thursday night except USC at this point, which even with them I'm not 100% decided.
