NDL NCAA Dynasty Week 14 Top 25 Rankings: Aggregating the Best for Your Votes

Hey, NDL crew, it’s time to lock in my Week 14 Top 25 votes!

Let’s break down the system, reveal my votes, and dive into the playoff race!

The Ranking System

The NDL’s 35-point rule emphasizes respect over blowouts, so my rankings ditched Margin of Victory for Quality Wins.

Each team’s scores are averaged to produce an aggregate score (0–1), ranking the top 25. This blends the polls’ consensus with Massey’s objectivity and my system’s focus on quality wins and schedules, reducing my previous divergence from the polls.

Conference standings break ties, ensuring SEC heavyweights like Georgia Bulldogs and Group of 5 stars like South Florida Bulls are fairly placed.

Smitty229’s Ole Miss Rebels are the undisputed No. 1, topping the Coaches (No. 1, 86 first-place votes), Media (No. 1, 15 first-place votes), Massey (No. 1), and Model (~0.908) rankings. Their 11-0 record, 7-0 SEC mark, and ~9 quality wins (5 Quad 1, 4 Top 25 Massey) reflect dominance. Facing a balanced schedule (73-64, 0.533), the Rebels’ explosive offense (437 PF) and stout defense (225 PA) make them the playoff favorite. Their sweep of SEC rivals cements their top seed, but late-season tests loom.

Eljefebigrump’s Clemson Tigers hold No. 2, matching their Coaches (No. 2) and Media (No. 2) rankings, with a strong Massey (No. 7) and CeeGee (~0.741) showing. Their 11-0 record, 8-0 ACC mark, and ~4 quality wins shine, though a lighter schedule (62-76, 0.449) tempers their Model score. Clemson’s dynamic playmakers (454 PF) and consistent defense (259 PA) make them a playoff lock.

Dcanady1’s Alabama Crimson Tide claim No. 3, aligning with their Coaches (No. 4) and Media (No. 3) rankings, boosted by Massey (No. 4) and Model (~0.759). Their 11-1 record, 7-1 SEC mark, and ~5 quality wins reflect SEC dominance. A strong schedule (78-61, 0.561) and high-powered offense (473 PF) keep them elite, despite one loss. Alabama’s playoff path is secure.

Jiggy Jrod’s Texas Longhorns sit at No. 4, close to their Coaches (No. 5) and Media (No. 5) rankings, with a strong Massey (No. 2) and Model (~0.808). Their 11-1 record, 7-1 SEC mark, and ~8 quality wins showcase their prowess. Facing a tough schedule (60-78, 0.435), Texas’ dominant offense (460 PF) and stingy defense (184 PA) make them a playoff lock.

ReignOnU’s Notre Dame Fighting Irish secure No. 5, ahead of their Coaches (No. 7) and Media (No. 8) rankings, with a solid Massey (No. 5) and Model (~0.749). Their 11-1 record and ~5 quality wins reflect their independent strength. A balanced schedule (63-70, 0.474) and efficient play (400 PF, 155 PA) make them playoff contenders.
