Things are heating up in the Atlantic Coast Conference as we enter Block 4. The top six teams have begun to separate themselves from the pack—but nothing is safe. With marquee matchups looming between the upper tier and the rest of the conference, Block 4 is shaping up to be a pivotal swing in the race for playoff spots and bragging rights. Buckle up—it’s statement season.

1. Clemson (4-0)
The Tigers remain unbeaten, but it hasn’t been a smooth ride—every game has brought a new test. Still, ElJEFE’s squad finds ways to win. Until someone hands them an L, they’re not moving from the top spot. Period.
2. Miami (5-1)
After dropping the season opener to Florida, the Hurricanes have rattled off five straight wins, including a nail-biter against San Diego State. Cam Ward is slinging it, and the offense is humming. If they keep this up, the ACC better watch out. Louisville is looming.
3. Louisville (4-1)
Louisville has looked sharp all season. Coach SRGTZT’s squad finally stumbled last week against Notre Dame, but this team is far from done. A big-time bounce-back opportunity awaits this week vs. Miami in what could be the game of the block.
4. NC State (5-0)
Coach Holmey’s Wolfpack are quietly turning heads. Behind an angry, turnover-happy defense, NC State has clawed its way to a perfect start. With Syracuse and Cal on deck, they’ve got a real shot at hitting 7-0 and shaking up the top of the ACC.
5. UNC (3-1)
Don’t look now, but Coach Petty has built one of the best offenses in the nation, with balance on the ground and through the air. And the buzz? His user defense is improving too. If that trend holds, the Tar Heels are a legitimate threat down the stretch.
6. Florida State (4-2)
Coach Sammy has had one of the toughest schedules in the nation, and his two losses have come by a combined 8 points. If he’s going to make a playoff push, he’ll have to earn it the hard way—with Miami, Notre Dame, UNC, and Florida still looming.
7. Boston College (3-3)
Don’t let the record fool you—Coach Rohk scheduled a gauntlet. BC lost a heartbreaker to FSU before getting humbled by Texas and Ole Miss in back-to-back blowouts. Still, with the worst behind them, Rohk is in position to finish strong and climb the ladder.
8. SMU (3-3)
Don’t sleep on Coach Block—his team has been battle-tested. SMU dropped heartbreakers to Auburn and FSU by a combined 4 points, and also took a rivalry loss to Louisville. With a favorable back half of the schedule, 9-3 or 8-4 is still very much in play.
9. Georgia Tech (2-3)
The Jackets came out hot to start Block 2 but have since hit turbulence. Still a scrappy squad that’s capable of wrecking someone’s playoff hopes, but consistency has been elusive.
10. Stanford (3-4)
Coach Metrodee has kept Stanford fighting despite a rocky first half. At 3-4, the margin for error is thin, but this team has shown flashes and could make a late run toward bowl eligibility.
