BLOCK 2 BEST GAMES!!!!
OSU @ WVU
In a game that will be talked about in Morgantown for a long time, West Virginia — without their starting QB — rolled into Stillwater and stunned Oklahoma State behind a historic night from backup quarterback Nicco Marchiol.

Marchiol was nothing short of spectacular. With ice in his veins, the sophomore torched the Cowboys’ defense, finishing 26-of-30 for 503 yards, 4 touchdowns, and an 86% completion rate. It wasn’t just the numbers; it was how he did it — confident, poised, and in complete control from the opening drive.

His top target, Traylon Ray, had a career night himself, racking up 268 receiving yards on 10 catches, including a breathtaking 71-yard touchdown that broke the game open. Ray’s ability to win one-on-one battles made life miserable for the Oklahoma State secondary.

West Virginia’s offense didn’t stop there. P. Fox added 123 yards of his own, while C.J. Donaldson Jr. contributed a highlight-reel 45-yard touchdown reception. The Mountaineers pushed the tempo and kept OSU chasing all night long.

Defensively, WVU faced plenty of adversity against a quick-paced Oklahoma State attack, but when it mattered most, they came up with key stops to slam the door shut

Houston (0) at Iowa State (31)

Iowa State delivered a complete performance on both sides of the ball in a dominant 31-0 shutout over Houston. Offensively, quarterback Rocco Becht was sharp and efficient, completing 11 of 18 passes for 176 yards and two touchdowns, posting an impressive 168.8 passer rating. He showed excellent command of the offense, distributing the ball effectively across multiple targets.

The Cyclones’ ground game was steady and balanced. Jaylon Jackson led the way with 88 yards on 15 carries (5.9 yards per carry), while Abu Sama III added 75 yards and a touchdown on 15 carries of his own. The two combined for over 160 yards rushing, giving Iowa State consistent movement on the ground.

Through the air, Jackson also led all receivers with 78 yards on 5 receptions and a touchdown, showing his versatility. Beni Ngoyi and Jaylin Noel added complementary roles, with Ngoyi grabbing a 41-yard touchdown catch. Benjamin Brahmer and Jayden Higgins contributed steady, short-yardage receptions to keep drives alive.

Defensively, Iowa State was just as dominant, pitching a shutout and getting major contributions across the board. Jerimiah Cooper put an exclamation mark on the Cyclones’ defensive effort with a defensive touchdown, continuing his standout season. The defense was disciplined, opportunistic, and suffocated Houston’s offense from start to finish.

It was a true team win for Iowa State, showcasing strong quarterback play, a balanced rushing attack, and a stifling defense.

Iowa State (27) at Baylor (19)

Iowa State leaned on a balanced offensive performance to pick up a 27-19 road win over Baylor. Rocco Becht was efficient through the air, completing 20 of 26 passes for 198 yards without turning the ball over, finishing with a passer rating of 140.9. On the ground, Jaylon Jackson led the Cyclones with 18 carries for 108 yards, averaging 6.0 yards per carry, while Abu Sama III chipped in 39 yards on 12 attempts. Carson Hansen added 18 yards on four carries, helping Iowa State rush for 165 total yards.

The Cyclones spread the ball around in the passing game as well. Benjamin Brahmer paced the receivers with 52 yards on three catches, while Beni Ngoyi added 40 yards and a score on three receptions. Jayden Higgins and Jaylin Noel combined for 74 yards and another touchdown, giving Becht multiple reliable targets throughout the afternoon. Jaylon Jackson also contributed 24 receiving yards, adding to his strong overall performance.

Defensively, Iowa State was anchored by Malik Verdon, who totaled 7 tackles. J.R. Singleton and Darien Porter each recorded 5 stops, with Singleton notching two tackles for loss. Jeremiah Cooper once again made a big impact, tallying 3 tackles and scoring a defensive touchdown. The Cyclones pressured Baylor consistently, forcing 3 interceptions and holding the Bears to just 103 passing yards despite giving up 260 rushing yards to Baylor running back Richard Reese.
