Block 6 Big XII Power Rankings: Time to Make Your Move!

As we approach the final stretch of the Big XII season, it feels like Colorado has firmly taken control of the top spot in the NDL Block 6 Power Rankings. Their consistent performance has put them in a commanding position, but with two blocks still remaining, there's plenty of football left to play. The race isn't over yet—teams are still jockeying for position, and the outcomes of these next few games could have a massive impact not just on who ends up at the top, but also on which teams will be fighting for a spot in the conference championship. It’s crunch time for the rest of the conference, and with stakes this high, expect some exciting matchups as squads push to secure their place in the postseason. The time for making a move is now—who will rise to the occasion and make a run at the title?

(-) 16. Iowa State Cyclones 0-1 (0-0)
We're in a holding pattern here. This will most likely end up as a sim win for everyone though.

(-) 15. Arizona State Sun Devils 0-5 (0-4)
The Sun Devils are struggling this season. No doubt about it. The question on everyone's mind has to be will they win a game?

(-4) 14. West Virginia Mountaineers 2-5 (0-4)
They do have two wins but neither is in conference. Dropped a close one to K State but was blown out by Arizona. Another team that is going to struggle to pick up another W.

(+1) 13. Texas Tech Red Raiders 1-5 (1-2)
The lone win of the season came against Arizona State. Has some winnable games remaining on the schedule but one has to image a bowl game is out of reach at this point.

(+1) 12. Oklahoma State Cowboys 1-5 (1-3)
A team that should have more W's than this. Their lone win, so far, was against a conference foe so they'll get a bump above some others here. With the remaining schedule there may not be many more W's added though.

(-) 11. Houston Cougars 2-6 (0-5)
It's been a while since they've seen a win but they at least have some entertaining games! Only one of the teams ranked below Houston appear on their schedule. Can't help but wonder how they'd fare against them.

(-1) 10. Arizona Wildcats 3-6 (2-4)
Picked up the W vs. West Virginia. They need three more wins to bowl eligible. Looking ahead there is really only one that should be a lock to win, they other two.... we'll see

(+3) 9. BYU Cougars 2-6 (2-3)
Almost like clock work. BYU struggles at the beginning of the season and then seems to turn it on late. Put big W's up against Arizona and Okie State. Need 4 more for a bowl bid though and I just don't think that's in the cards. It'll be fun to watch and see though.

(-) 8. Baylor Bears 3-2 (1-2)
Still a small sample size but he's trying. Four unlocked games yet to be played and three more still locked. Can they pick up three of those? Tempted to say yes, the Bears will be bowl eligible. But they have to play.

(-3) 7. Cincinnati Bearcats 5-3 (3-2)
Things start to get tricky here. Cincy is a solid team but so are the six ranked above them. Any of these teams could end up in the CC game with a few breaks here or there. Body of work wise though, Cincy's schedule has been easier than those above them. Two huge games to end the season though.

(+1) 6. TCU Horned Frogs 6-2 (3-2)
Picked up a great win over Utah. That'll look good on the resume. Next two games are very winnable and then a big matchup with Cincy. The Kansas loss may prove huge though.

(+1) 5. Kansas Jayhawks 4-3 (4-1)
Ran into a buzz saw with K State, giving them their first conference loss. Colorado still remains on the schedule but the rest are winnable games. With a few breaks here or there could Kansas find themselves in a favorable position?

(+1) 4. Kansas State Wildcats 7-2 (5-1)
With all due respect to K State, this has been a fairly easy schedule to navigate in conference. They have a trap game to watch out for in Week 13 but should get the other two W's easily. The Wildcats will have a vested interest in every Colorado game as well as the Utah UCF game.

(-) 3. Utah Utes 7-1 (4-1)
Another tough one to drop down but the TCU loss is going to prove huge especially with a UCF and Colorado game still to go. With some of the other teams remaining schedules, Utah finds themselves in a position where they will probably have to win out.

(-) 2. UCF Knights 7-1 (4-1)
The Week 14 game looms large. Win out and it'll come down to a tie breaker with K State (as long as they win out).

(-) 1. Colorado Buffaloes 8-0 (5-0)
The Buffs are in control. Big matchup with Utah in Week 12 and a potential trap game (I feel like being generous) in Week 13 are their last two test. Even with an L they're still in. Just make sure it's only one if you do that.
