A look at the MW Top 25

Coming in at #18 is 5-0 Fresno St and Coach Chase. The Bulldogs are showing their fight early in the NDL season as they are 4-0 in one score or less games .. The field general of the offense is 5’11” 200 pound Jr Mikey Keene. Keene’s numbers won’t put him on anyone’s All-American team, but his leadership and poise on the field is unflappable. In the backfield for the Dogs is Malik Sherrod. Sherrod is 2nd in the MWC with just over 600 yards on the ground and 5 scores this season.
The offense is 3rd in the MWC, but it’s the defense that has to worry Coach Chase as the Bulldogs rank near the bottom in every defensive category.. 10th is unacceptable in the MWC if they plan to compete for a title. Linebacker Tuasivi Nomura can’t take any blame as he has tallied 37 tackles , 2 interceptions and 1 fumble recovery through 5 games.
Although Fresno is 5-0 they are very vulnerable in conference play. Fresno has 3 wins by 5 points or less… eventually that will be an issue and they may end up on the wrong side of a close football game.
