Coach Ank takes over in Colorado Springs

Article By: Ank

The Falcon are young, the Falcons are hungry and the Falcons are looking to shock the MWC in season 31!!!! An old face is once again in charge for the mighty USAFA and its young guns of players . Ank is back in Colorado Springs at the Academy, the ole ball-coach went 5-7 in season 15 before leaving for a 2 year stint in Athens with the Bulldogs of Georgia. Ank admits the Academy will always be his first love and regrets leaving after just one season.
This time around the Falcons are gonna be more of a long term job instead of a pit-stop..there is a lot of talent on this team and I feel we can surprise a few teams in and out of the conference. anytime you're at one of the service schools you know the top priority is honor and respect...after that is Army and Navy. Our season is determined by those 2 games...The commander and chief tropey is the holy grail, we are probably the least talented of the 3 team..but promise we have the heart to make up for it on the field

We are gonna mix up this play-book this season... we have the horses to run our traditional bone, but we also have mustangs and a good enough Quarter-Back to make teams respect our air attack.
Busha and Hayes will split time under center, and we have a stable of backs who can do damage either inside or outside if need be. Dylan Carson is gonna be the work-stallion on this team as everything will go thru him. John is magical with the option, makes reads and pitches that reminds many of a Lance Mcllhenny from the great SMU teams of the early 80's. Cade Harris and Tre Roberson will be the beneficiary of Bushas' magic as they get the nod at the RB postions to start the season.
The Defense is led by its linebacking core..remember the names Santiago, Fletcher and 5th year Sr. Osaro Aihie. Fletcher can cover anyone one on one and the other 2 can stop any running attack in America...The secondary is a work in progress, but I expect to see improvement week after week with these young guys .
Air Force OOC schedule wasnt kind to them as they go on the road to Jackson Ala. the first game of the season and then in week 4 they head to Columbus to face Big 10 power house The Ohio State Buckeyes.
