UW Finishes Strong - RB Returning S31

Article By: RB4SC22

After another 7-5 season and bowl appearance for coach RB, this time around was a little different. The Badgers finished off their season on a high note winning the New Era Pinstripe Bowl in a classic game for two evenly matched coaches and programs, beating FSU 31-28.

Wisconsin scored 2 defensive TDs in the game with a pick six from All-American Snub Ricardo Hallman, and a scoop and score sack fumble from Freshman Will McDonald. From there, Wisconsin ran the ball for 180 yards and passed for only 120 but was efficient in doing so.

This moves UW to 8-5, securing some bonus points toward end of the year scoring to lock in Coach RB for a return to Madison next season.

"I am excited that the offer is on the table to stay at a place that is so special to me. We had a great season, and if you flip a couple close losses around, I think we truly could be a 9-3 or 10-2 team. We had Ole Miss on the ropes on the road, we had a 21-3 lead on Penn State before momentum and home crowd melted us. With the schedule flipping over next year, I think we have a real shot to compete for conference title game bid." said Coach RB.

It's going to take more mental discipline and situational football for the Badgers, as that is a category that has been lacking in Coach RB's career. "He sometimes is missing it between the ears" said a local newspaper columnist, which is not something coach RB took personally. "He's right, I've struggled to overcome momentum swings and making the right plays at the right moments to get past that. It's something I'll work on this off-season" said RB

Great season to all out there, it was a fun one. GG to SouthGA at FSU, one of the more fun games I've played in a long time.
