MWC VS Sun Belt Clash Update MWC up 5-0

The first ever showdown between the Mountain West and Sun Belt conferences has been one-sided so far, with the Mountain West claiming victories in all five matchups. This unique clash, which has grown into an unofficial series pits two of the most competitive Group of Five conferences against each other, offering a chance for each to demonstrate strength on a national stage here in the NDL. Here’s a recap of the games already played and the games yet to be played.

Recap of Games Played

1. Wyoming vs. Old Dominion
Result: Wyoming 36 , Old Dominion 13
In a contest dominated by Wyoming’s run game as running back Harrison Waylee who went up and down the field on the monarchs defense Quarterback Evan Svoboda threw for two touchdowns, while the Cowboys’ defense kept Old dominion’s offense from finding a rhythm.

2. San Diego State vs. Troy
Result: San Diego State 38, Troy 24
In a close battle, San Diego State edged out Troy thanks to a game-sealing touchdown in the closing minutes. Aztec quarterback Danny O’Neil showed resilience, passing for 250 yards and two touchdowns. Troy’s high-octane offense was limited by SDSU’s defense, which made critical stops in the red zone.

3. San Jose State vs. Arkansas State
Result: Boise State 27, Arkansas state 14
San Jose State’s defense continued its strong form, holding Arkansas State to just 14 points while their offense capitalized on the Spartans’ typical mix of passing and ground game. The duo of smash and Dash (chalk and bates) racked up over 120 rushing yards and scored twice, while quarterback Walker Eget added 220 passing yards to secure San Jose’s comfortable victory.

4. Fresno State vs. Texas State
Result: Fresno State 52, Texas State 42
Fresno State showcased its offensive prowess against Texas State with quarterback Mikey Keene tossing three touchdown passes and running back Malik Sherrod breaking loose for 150 rushing yards. Texas State tried to keep pace, but Fresno State’s defense forced three turnovers, which proved decisive in preserving the Bulldogs’ lead.

5. New Mexico vs. Marshall
Result: New Mexico 35, Marshall 28
New Mexico offense came alive in the second half, rallying from a halftime deficit to defeat Marshall The Lobos leaned on quarterback Devon Dampier who threw for over 200 yards and two touchdowns, including a 60-yard bomb in the fourth quarter. Marshall fought hard but couldn’t kick a fg instead the fg got blocked and returned for a TD.

Louisiana vs Air Force

Georgia Southern vs Hawaii

Nevada vs Coastal Carolina

And the commish of the fun belt coach Rb (team of his choosing) vs Bosie State and that menace Aston Jenty
