OUTLOOK - Coach razorback has big shoes to fill as he is replacing coach dub after a 9-4 season at the Boilermakers. The schedule is a daunting one as the Boilermakers take on Notre Dame, Oklahoma St and Tulsa out of conference. In conference games against Ohio St, Oregon, and Penn St make this a challenge to say the least.
PLAYERS TO WATCH - Big Gus Hartwig anchors the offensive line at center and is a veteran of the B1G wars. While FS Dillion Thieneman is a difference maker on the back of the Boilermaker defense.
SEASON PREDICTION - Saying the Boilermakers have their work cut out for them in the B1G is being kind. Look for Purdue to challenge for the title but to many teams with to much talent will stop a title run.
12. INDIANA (ANK)
OUTLOOK - Coach Ank takes over in Bloomington after spending last season at Central Michigan, which was his first in the NDL after a 10-season break. He’s looking to make an impact in the Big Ten in his first year in the league, while his best season came at another Power Four school in Texas A&M when he was 11-2 in Season 19. The Hoosiers are the surprise of college football this season, and he hopes to keep them rolling under his guidance and reach a bowl game for the sixth time in the past seven seasons.
PLAYERS TO WATCH - They will go as far as transfer quarterback Kurtis Rourke can take them, and he will look for his WR weapons in Elijah Sarratt and Donaven McCulley. CB D’Angelo Ponds meanwhile will captain the defensive side. One weakness for the Hoosiers is their lack of strong talent at RB, how their season goes could determine how much production they get from the running game.
11. RUTGERS (geauxcapper)
OUTLOOK - Coach geauxcapper enters season two of his Rutgers dynasty after a successful season 29 with a 7-6 record and conference championship game appearance. We look for more of the same as Coach is more familiar with his team and fine tuning it for another title run.
PLAYERS TO WATCH - Leading the Rutgers offense is the outstanding RB Kyle Monangia while LB Mohamed Toure and DL Aaron Lewis lead the Scarlet Knights defense.
SEASON PREDICTION - We look for Coach geauxcapper to make another run at the top half of the conference and is another dark horse contender for the B10 championship game.
10. USC (TSTEPANEK)
OUTLOOK - Coach Tstepanek takes over a college football blue blood after a 6-7 campaign with the BYU Cougars. Coach Tstepanek has had a steady coaching career in the NDL with a 118-115 all time record. As one of the OG experienced coaches in the NDL, we look for Coach to challenge for the BIG title with a plethora of talent in Southern Cal.
PLAYERS TO WATCH - OL Jonah Monheim leads the way on offense as a leader of the unit while the offense will run through QB Miller Moss. CB’s John Humphry and Decarlos Nicolson will shore up the back end of the Trojan defense.
SEASON PREDICTION - Coach Tstepanek and the USC schedule is not to forgiving with road trips to Wisconsin, Penn St, Rutgers, Nebraska, and Notre Dame. It will take one of coach Tstepanek’s best coaching jobs to navigate the challenge of the road schedule along with Michigan and Washington at home.
9. WISCONSIN (RB4SC22)
OUTLOOK - Coach RB4SC22 makes his first splash into the Big Ten after a one-year coaching stint at UCF where he went 7-6. He takes over a talented and hard-nosed Wisconsin team that suffered a 1-11 campaign last season. The Badgers with an overall NDL record of 220-202 are expecting to return to their winning ways with the hire of Coach RB4SC22.
PLAYERS TO WATCH - Folks usually equate the strength of Badger football with tailbacks and offensive line. While that is a strong point of this team, the true players to watch are in the defensive backfield with corner Ricardo Hallman (91 OVR) and Safety Hunter Wohler (90 OVR) leading the way.
SEASON PREDICTION - Things can only look up with Coach RB4SC44 at the helm after a dismal 1-11 Season 29. The Badgers have a tough OOC schedule going to SEC foe Ole Miss, traveling to SMU and a home date with a dangerous Tulsa team. The good news for the Badgers is they avoid the conference titans Michigan, Ohio State and Penn State.
