Pre-Season Power Rankings
Article By: A new season in the ACC is right around the corner. SMU set the standard last season but fell short in the Championship game. Will traditional powers rise back to the top or will another dark horse team emerge ?
1. Miami - Coach Dealer returns to Miami and will be looking to build off last season's strong finish and avoid another slow start
2. Clemson- Coach Ry returns for another season with the Tigers with tons of talent on both sides of the ball. Clemson should be in the mix all season.
3. Va Tech- Hokie Nation is thrilled to welcome back its favorite son. Coach VT will have this team playing well above it's ratings.
4. FSU- Another returning coach that lost a few close games last season. FSU is loaded, Can Coach SGC get over the hump with the Noles?
5. SMU- Big shoes to fill here but Coach Block M is just the man to do it. Seasoned Vet who will bring the energy and keep SMU in the mix
6. Louisville- The Real Dray is another seasoned vet. Cards have talent. Will the birds fly or get their wings clipped
7. Wake- Coach Wes is one of the best around. He also gets on my nerves but that's ok . Wake is gonna be a tough out every week
8. Cal- Coach Jason comes to Cal after successful stint with Fresno . Solid coach and you haven't heard he has a 6"6 LB that's a beast
9. UNC- Its awesome that Matt got his boys in the draft. I expect him to be competitive all season. I also expected him to schedule me OCC and that didn't happen.
10. NC State- Sneaky good team here. Narcan is new but competed in the Big 12 last season and now has a more talented team
11. Boston College- Ranger returns to BC looking to correct a miserable finish to last season. Look for BC to make some noise.
12. Virginia- Coach Doc is a baller, The Cavs are gonna upset a few teams this season
13. GA Tech- Team has talent and uniforms are fresh. Coach JBK had a good run last season with Marshall.
14. Syracuse- Mark is my guy. Great coach and better person. The Orange will shock a few teams this season
15. Pitt-Coach Broham won 4 games last season with Army which is not an easy task. Pitt has a good defense that should keep him competitive.
16. Duke- The Devils started hot last season but quickly faded under another coach. Coach Sneal is out to prove that Duke isn't just a basketball school
17. Stanford- I think scrimmaged against Coach Ninja the other day, if so he can play. ACC better look out
