Warhawks could not move the ball down the field

ULM loses a heartbreaker

Article By: taruncheel

ULM lost a close game to Ohio 14-13. ULM was in the lead for most of the game. They started with a pick 6 and took a 7-0 lead into halftime. They added a FG to make it 10-0 going into the 4th quarter. The first play of the 4th quarter, Ohio scored a TD to make it 10-7. After a back and forth, ULM was able to get into FG range again and kick a 45 yard FG to make it 13-7. The game seemed to be in the bag after an Ohio punt, but a late interception (due to an inept running game) set the Bobcats up in the Red Zone and they capitalized with under 30 seconds to remain. ULM had one last shot, but ended up throwing an INT and the game was history. Coach Taruncheel commented, "We could not get any momentum. Our running game sucked and our QB has to make better reads and passes. As of today, the starting QB position is up in the air. Maybe this will encourage someone to step up!"

GG Outrage! Really enjoyed the game.
