ANNAPOLIS, MD - This game ended up exactly as it began, in horrendous fashion. The Houston Cougars go winless in the Beefy cup opening round and lose in embarrassing fashion to the Navy Midshipman 27-26 on the last play of the game in what can only be described by many onlookers as, "what exactly happened here?"

Houston had just took the lead for the first time in the entire mistake filled ballgame and they relinquished it nine seconds later playing prevent (mistake #1) in what looked like blanket coverage, only it was the UH defensive players blanketing one another for whatever reason, (mistake #2) and in a split second QB Donovan Smith once again went from hero to zero after ALMOST making up for another interception filled outing.

MISSED IT BY - THAT MUCH.
