Mississippi State begins final preperation for their season opening Coach CJ begins pursuit of Greatness
Article By: It's been a long grueling fall camp for the Bulldogs, early mornings followed by long nights have been a way of life for not only the coaches but the players putting in the work. It's what the fans don't see behind the scenes that make this Mississippi State coaching staff excited for the opening weekend
Led by Senior QB Blake Shapen the transfer from Baylor who looks to replace Will Rogers, the talented QB who headed out to Washington to play for the Huskies in his final year. Shapen has a ton of experience under his belt with close to 30 starts over 2 and a half seasons at Baylor. The Mississippi State offense will look for Shapen an his senior leadership to help provide an effective offense in Starksville
The young Bulldog defense will be led by one of only 2 senior starts in defensive end De'Monte Russell. Russell looks like bounce back after a injury shortened in junior year after only showing in 3 games.
The Bulldogs will kick off their season this Saturday as they will welcome in the Horned Frogs of TCU
