Gators chomp Hurricanes in Season Opener

The Florida offense was explosive behind the performance of Player of the Game,
Freshman RB KD Daniels. Daniels recorded 13 carries for 131 yards on the day with two trips to the endzone while
Senior RB Montrell Johnson Jr. added 15 carries for 86 yards and two TDs of his own. The Gators appear to have a two-headed monster with Daniels and Johnson Jr.. The Gator defense was led by Junior
MLB Shemar James who tallied 7 Total Tackles, 1 TFL and 1 INT. The Gators defense as a unit forced a total of 4 turnovers in front of a home crowd that was absolutely pumping at The Swamp.
The Gators have a bye in week 2 and will welcome Texas A&M to Gainesville in Week 3.
