HUNTINGTON, WV – The Marshall Thundering Herd are gearing up for another exciting season, and early returns from preseason camp suggest this could be a special year. While the Thundering Herd are still fine-tuning their roster, a few players have emerged as early standouts.
All eyes have been on quarterback Cole Pennington, the son of Marshall legend Chad Pennington. The younger Pennington has impressed coaches with his poise, accuracy, and undeniable football IQ. With a last name synonymous with Herd greatness, expectations are high, but the early returns indicate he’s ready to fill the large cleats left by his father.
