Unsurprised by even those within the program, the pre-season hype just doesn't exist for Maryland this season. Camp has progressed as the coaching staff would like. Particularly rounding into form on defense, as they were absolutely porous throughout the first half of camp. Hypollite, as continued to demonstrate the leadership qualities necessary of a starting MLB and has shored up his front 7's run defense. No doubt a critical factor in the physical B1G.
On the flip side, the offense may be finding that they're able to open up more of the playbook than the new coaching staff had anticipated. Your typical coach speak of, "we were only able to install a fraction of what we want to do, with such limited time" doesn't seem to be holding back the Terps.
Time will tell. Can Drewwbacca lead Maryland back into the middle tier of the B1G? Or, will Reign's B1G rankings reflect yet another season where the Terps don't even meet the minimum of expectations.
