Article By: CMU opens up with a week 1 visit to the Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium in Annapolis, Maryland for a early season test. After camps the Chips has to decided to start RS Soph. Bert Emmannual III at the QB position. Ank said he just gives up more mobility at the position. we like his leadership and feel at this point he gives us a better chance to compete and win this week. I wouldn't be surprised to see several signal callers behind the center if Bert struggles much at all. Navy brings an offense that not many can duplicate, and is very hard to stop, so we know what kind of challenge will be presented to our front 7. We love our LB'er corp with the 4-2-5 we will be running against the middies..... Jr leader Soloman Franchez and Co-Capt. Chris Ziegler can run with any LB'er group in the MAC. Ziegler is a Notre Dame transfer, who had some issues in South Bend but is eager to prove his value in Mt. Pleasent. We are looking forward to a great contest with Navy and hopefully we can get out of Maryland with the W and start 2024 off on a positive note.
