UK's mascot - male or female????Week 1 Showdown - BYU @ Kentucky preview
Article By: The last time these two coaches locked horns Coach TSTEPANEK was kicked out of the league for his 84-0 win over Coach Kegr8er. Coach TSTEP explained he did let up in the win by not scoring in quarters two through four. “When you put up nearly 2,500 yards of offense you’re going to put points on the board.” These two met at a Cowboy/Cots game many years ago and you can still sense the bad blood from both. With all the hyperbole leading up to kickoff, these two teams are about to clash. There are echoes around the NDL that this week one game is for the national title game…no need to play the rest of the season guys.
UK is spearheaded by QB Brock Vandagriff. The gunslinger has plenty of targets namely the speedy WR Barion Brown. Brown is a deep threat on any play and is one of the fastest players in the country. Kentucky won’t just be winging the ball around to Brown as senior RB Demonte Trayanum will get his share of touches on offense. The UK defense isn’t bad in its own right as DE Deone Walker, LB J.J. Weaver, CB Maxwell Hairston anchor some talented DT’s to form a formidable wall blue. Coach Keg will have his boys primed for week one and the rest of the season. The only question for the Cats is whether Coach Keg survive his pending sexual harassment charges against the UK mascot.
BYU hasn’t been the same in recent seasons and are looking for new life this year. The Cougs are not a loaded roster filled with four/five-star recruits. They’re led by senior QB Gerry “BIG B” Bohanon. BIG B doesn’t have a lot of ingredients in the kitchen and that is why the Cougs were sitting there at the 67th pick with a four-game win goal. The D is in better shape with DE Tyler Batty leading the way as a project all Big 12 preseason selection.

We reached out to Coach Keg for comment and all he said was, "Every month should be PRIDE month.”
Vegas Odds: UK -4.5
Best Bet: Coach Keg to drink seven Whiteclaws in the first half
