Beaver faithful showed up and showed out at the annual spring game, to get a look at the new look Beavers under Coach Brady. Neither squad disappointed as the Black squad picked up the win over the Orange squad 28-14, it was a quiet game initially both offenses started slowly. But in the 2nd half things picked up quickly as Orange jumped out to a 7-14 lead, after that Black would go on a 21-0 run capped off by a strong ground game w/ scores of 56yds & 72yds. The final dagger came on a pick six to lock in the victory for the Black squad.

After the game Brady was quoted of saying "Halfback University is now in session", we can only imagine what that means for the rest of the NDL but opponent slated for Week one is the Scarlet Knights of Rutgers.

They come in with a fast pace of gameplay that will prove to be a true test for the Beavers being ran by a new coach to the NDL format.
