Coach Spyder has been "retired" for nearly 11 years but is excited to get up to speed with the new schemes and style of play in the college game. Nebraska has been bottom of the conference for over a decade last appearing in a championship game in 2012 getting (Ran-over) by Melvin Gordon and Wisconsin.
Since then, there has been 3 coaching changes with fewer and fewer wins to follow. Missing a bowl game for a school record 7 straight season that is unacceptable for a program that is top 10 in all time wins, 5 national championships, 46 conference titles.
Coach Spyder will be bringing in a Multiple Pro Style offense with new highly touted Freshman QB Dylan Raiola, 2 Promising transfer WRs in Banks (WakeForest), Neyor (Wyoming, Texas), Defense will be a 3-3-5 Defense with a heavy focus on stopping the run first and foremost. B1G DT Nash Hutchmacher and Ty Robinson will hold the line down and make it difficult for anyone to gain yards up the middle, SS Isaac Gifford, Tommi Hill will help solidify the backend of the defense.
Will it be the same ole Nebraska of the 2000's or Nebraska of the previous 3 decades?
