Coach Knapp and his Wyoming Cowboys are busily preparing for their first game of the regular season, occuring tonight, when they travel to play the Ohio Bobcats and Coach Vttwinky.
Coach Knapp won a close fought first round NDL Cup game versus Utah State, last week. The Cowboys will be traveling to Chapel Hill next week, to play the Tarheels & long-time NDLer & very talented baller, Oracle.
But for now, the focus is on tonight's game versus Ohio. There is added pressure, as it will be the first game on the Wyo Broadcasting Network. Coach Knapp knows little about Ohio at this moment, but hopes to squeeze in alittle bit of research shortly before the contest, ha. What he does know is his team. He feels this C- team is actually better than their EA grade. Maybe more of a C+, but maybe his ego is just alittle out of whack, before the season even begins. heh heh
Wyoming is a young team, with some up and coming potential. That's why Knapp chose to come to Laramie. He's hoping to start a dynasty in the Mountain West Conference, which after TCU & Boise leave, will be a very balanced and competitive league, for seasons to come.
When it comes to goals for this season, Coach wants to kick start his career with hopefully a bowl game. Just squeeze out six wins, somehow. He wanted to put together a non-conference schedule that would involve teams very similar to Wyoming, in terms of talent. All are C rated teams and should bring about some close & exciting finishes to the season.
The Wyoming Cowboys & Coach Knapp would like to wish good luck to each of their opponents this season and hope that they truly enjoy their game experience with the 'Boys.
