Hokies Gear Up For Season 24

Article By: NCAA Dynasty League

Blacksburg, VA {AP} Season 24 is now upon us as Virginia Tech welcomes another year with Coach VTrunNgun as the helm. Coming off a 9-4 season, Hokienation ended the year on a sour note falling short of a divisional crown compounded by a bowl game loss.

Harboring one of the tougher schedules last year, Virginia Tech didn't shy away from competition...and this year will be no different.

OOC Schedule

Week 1 vs South Carolina (Champdizzzzzle): Its time for the rebuttal match as the defending SEC Champion storms into Lane Stadium looking to avenge their crazy-last minute loss to the Hokies. You best believe SC is coming in looking to make a statement, anchored by the play of Marcus Lattimore.

Week 2 @ UCONN (Riccio): Mutual respect runs high between these coaches, but the wins sit on one side of this match up - UCONN's side. The Huskies sullied Virginia Tech's record first last year then in the Final Four for the NDL Cup, they would knock them out. Both matches being decided by one score each, you best believe this bout will be another chess match

Week 3 @ Kansas St (Brett): Every so often a coach will step up out of a crowd and say - "Hey...I want you on my schedule" Coach VT would be the coach on the receiving end of this challenge after ending Coach Brett's NDL Cup run last year. You gotta love a coach looking to even the score and Coach VT is happy to oblige.

Week 5 @ West Virginia (Talented): The Battle for the Black Diamon Trophy is on the line as the last two installments of this game have gone the way of Virginia Tech. Coach Talented is one of the best in the business and when he makes his mind up to challenge you, expect a dog fight on your hands. I can't imagine the last two losses have sat well with Coach Talented, so I imagine he'll be getting less reps on Madden and more on NCAA when it comes time to play this game.

Conference Schedule:

Virginia Tech wasn't the best team in the ACC last year - heck they weren't even the best team in their division...There was a lot of talent in the ACC last year and this year is no different as the defending conference champ (Miami) returns their coach and headlines the Hokies home schedule this season. With other old faces in new places, the ACC is a mixed bag with no assumptions being made. Each week will be a critical week as one game can make or break your year. The Hokies learned that last year, being frozen out of the ACC title game with just one loss under their belt.

All and all, this looks to be another great year in the ACC & Coach VT is pumped to be at the helm, leading his program into battle.
