Pittsburgh Panthers 5-2 (1-1 Big East)doc1424#1 Connecticut Huskies 5-0 (1-0 Big East)DRiccio21
So apparently South Florida was no match for UConn last week as they fell 30-6 to the mighty Huskies. What do we make of this Connecticut team? Has Dave finally brought prominence to his lengthy dynasty? We sure can tell last season was no fluke, and with Alabama's fall last week to Arkansas, Dave has risen to his first #1 ranking ever (yes Trendon, I'm making another assumption). Doc's done a swell job building a dynasty in Pittsburgh, winning at least 8 games in each of his last 3 seasons. It'll be a tough road test for the Panthers.
WHAT TO WATCH FOR
If you want to stop the Huskies, you'll need to stop Johnny McEntee. The Huskies are gaining the majority of their yards through the air and McEntee does nothing but spread the love; four receivers have at least 2 touchdowns on the season. McEntee is interception prone, however, but the Husky defense is so good (4 sacks, 3 turnovers forced per game) that they force their opponents to give the ball right back. Pitt will rely heavily on RB Ray Graham, especially in the red zone. Graham is averaging over 100 yards per game on the ground and has already scored 11 touchdowns.
THE UNTOUCHABLE PREDICTION
Doc certainly has the ability to upset, but when it comes down to it, they lost to a South Florida team that got blown out by UConn. It won't be a blowout, but the Huskies will cruise to 6-0.

#14 South Florida Bulls 4-1 (1-1 Big East)hugme49#17 Brigham Young Cougars 4-1ICE
It may seem like I'm showing the Big East some love this week but you've got to give credit where credit's due. The Bulls may have been no match for the aforementioned Huskies, but they're still playing great football. This week, they travel to the land of Mormons to play a team that is equally playing great football this season.
WHAT TO WATCH FOR
The Bulls are not scoring a lot (19 PPG) or putting up a lot of offense (195 YPG), but they're winning games because they rank 8th in the league in turnovers per game (0.8). Combine that with a defense that's forcing nearly 3 turnovers a game themselves, and you have a recipe for success. BYU is winning their game through the air, with 75% of their offense coming from QB Riley Nelson. The Cougars are keeping their opponents at bay and only giving up 10 points per game so far, which would seem to fare well against a team that's only scoring 19 PPG.
THE UNTOUCHABLE PREDICTION
The Cougars have yet to post a marquee win while some could say that beating Pitt is a big deal for the Bulls. This certainly doesn't mean anything but this win could definitely go a long way for both teams. I'm taking the Cougars in this one.

Others to watch for:
#23 Virginia Cavaliers 4-0 (2-0 ACC) matt90210 @ NC State Wolfpack 2-2 (0-1 ACC) NCSUholmey
---This will be Virginia's first true test of the season. Can the Cavs continue rolling on the road?
---The Huskies are off to a great start in PAC-12 play but play host to the defending national championship team, albeit with a new coach.
#19 Michigan State Spartans 2-2 (0-0 Big Ten) Weasel @ #2 Wisconsin Badgers 6-0 (2-0 Big Ten) TEEwade
---The Spartans are struggling this season compared to their last but they can still throw their name in the Big Ten title picture with a win on the road in Madison.
Dealer is still seeking his first-ever BCS bid but is looking poised to possibly get there this season. Matt's been there before, 4 times to be exact, but stands as the first of three speed bumps over the next three weeks for the Canes. Miami begins a gauntlet of at #23 Virginia, at #18 Duke, and hosting a home game against #20 Florida State. Both coaches are playing exceptionally well this season and with Virginia Tech already losing 3 games, the Coastal division is ripe for the taking.
WHAT TO WATCH FOR
Although they're passing more than their rushing, the backbone of this Miami offense is RB Lamar Miller. Miller is averaging nearly 140 yards per game rushing and has already scored 15 touchdowns and has yet to cough up the football. Jacory Harris hasn't shown himself to be a run threat, and he's throwing more picks than TDs, so expect a Cavalier defense that ranks 9th in defensive interceptions to exploit that. The Cavs will come out with a more balanced offense, with RB Perry Jones carrying the load.
THE UNTOUCHABLE PREDICTION
Dealer seems like the real deal this season. Although he dropped the opener to Florida, he's toppled some quality opponents in Texas Tech and Virginia Tech. Matt will put up a fight, but the Canes are invading Charlottesville and will win on a last-second field goal.
Sammy: coming off a 10-3 season with Michigan and Rose Bowl bid. Outlaw: coming off an impressive 11-2 season at Arkansas State. Both coaches are off to great starts this season in the SEC. Each team has a division loss so far so each has some hurdles to climb if they want to make an SEC title game. On paper, this looks to be a very good matchup.
WHAT TO WATCH FOR
Mississippi State and Kentucky rank 1st and 2nd in the conference in points allowed with 6.75 and 11 PPG respectively. Neither team has number-bursting offenses and neither team is really holding onto the ball that long. The Bulldogs have yet to turn the ball over this season yet, a contributor to their success, while the Wildcats are only turning it over once a game. The main thing that Sammy and Outlaw have in common: they find a way to win the game.
THE UNTOUCHABLE PREDICTION
This one is a tough one for me. There isn't any one stat that sets either of these teams apart. For this one I'm just going to go with the home team.

Pittsburgh Panthers 5-2 (1-1 Big East) doc1424 @ #13 Cincinnati Bearcats 5-0 (0-0 Big East) UCWeiser
---That 5-0 record for the Bearcats looks great until you realize they have to play a conference game in a conference that currently houses 3 ranked teams (should be 4 with Pitt).
#7 Nebraska Cornhuskers 5-1 (1-1 Big Ten) 6ftdeep @ #19 Michigan State Spartans 2-2 (0-0 Big Ten) Weasel
---There's a triple threat in the division and Nebraska, Michigan State, and Michigan are all battling for the Legends title (does that sound too much like a wrestling reference?).
---Ever since their opening weekend loss to Duke, the Trojans have been burning through the PAC-12. But can they continue that on the road against Andrew Luck and company?
