HB Ervin leads the NDL

After the first 2 weeks of the season, So. HB Tyler Ervin is trying to put San Jose State on the map.



The Sophomore standout has rushed for 491 yards on 48 carries, for an amazing 10.2 yards/carry. Ervin currently leads the closest competitor - Stepfan Taylor of neighboring Stanford - by more than 150 yards. We haven't seen numbers like this since Reggie Bush of USC.



Ervin also leads the NDL in rushing touchdowns with 6.



San Jose State is sitting at 2-0 behind the strong legs of Ervin, but they have the toughest test of the season coming to town week 3 in the form of the Baylor Bears. We would expect Ervin's numbers to come back down to Earth vs. a talented Baylor defense.
