Coach Cougnix looks to move another step closer in 4th season at WSU



In the 3rd straight season, the WSU Cougars are led by Coach Cougnix, a tried and true Crimson and Gray Alum. Season 22 gave the Cougars hope that their program is turning in the right direction as they qualified for the Independence Bowl. Although their overall record was only 5-8, it was the same amount of wins that the program has had in the previous 2 seasons combined. The team hopes to build on the momentum and make a bowl on their own, rather than falling into a conference agreement. A bowl game is going to be a very difficult goal with the new coaches that filled in the vacancies. Many veteran coaches and successful coaches in the NDL decided to take their talents to the West Coast, we shall see what that holds for the undermatched WSU Cougars.
