Article By: With season 22 behind us and the birth of season 23 around the corner, we want to start this season off right. With great performances from players throughout the league there are a lot of expectations as new coaches come in and old programs continue. With that being said its time to look at some that left us with great performances that bring their expectation level very high. Lets see who the Heisman hopefuls are for season 23 thus far:
First up we have the Heisman winner from Season 22 Stanford running back Stepfan Taylor. After a great showing of 1610 rushing yards and not even breaking the top 10 in attempts letting you know that he made the most of what he got whenever he touched the rock. Taylor hauled in 19 touchdowns on the season and was a intricate part in his teams success. Not only taking home the Pac 12 title but the National Championship as well. Will this be the season he helps his team do it again? Supports wait anxiously to see.

Next up we have QB Dominique Davis. This QB wreaked havoc for secondaries with 3723 yards through the air, completing 230 passes and racking up 37 touchdowns through the air. This QB was a force to be reckoned with. With his system already in place will this be his year to take home the crown or will ECU's low recognition cost this hopeful another heisman?
Coming around the bend to hopefully crush the Big 12 with his stats this season in hopes for appearing in the big dance is QB Landry Jones from Oklahoma. Just behind Davis in yards, Jones pulled in 3551 through the air on less attempts and completions letting us know that he not only has the ability to get the ball out there but the weapons to make things happen once he gets it to them. Jones has shown he is a proven leader for his team and with Hoos at the helm they are hoping to be lead to the National Championship. Will Jones' arm last throughout the season? This guy will surely be one to watch.
It seems like you can't talk about one without the other as this pair will thrill you one way or another. Completing the pair we bring you WR Ryan Broyles. Broyles had an impressive season with 1539 yards receiving on 68 catches and 19 touchdowns. You can tell that this kid was a major factor in the Sooners success. With a QB like Jones getting him the ball and with Broyles capabilities it will be hard to see which one of them actually gets it at the end. Broyles is an electrifying receiver that proves to be someone to keep your eye on. Will he be as much of an impact this season as he was before? Will he be in the race at the end?
Rounding out the pack we have HB Ed Wesley from TCU. Now although this back didn't get much talk because of production of his team. He was still a factor that pushed things to the limits for opposing defenses. If his team has been able to mesh and come together around the work that Wesley has been putting in, then not only will be counting him in on the race but we will be looking at the Horned Frogs as contenders once again. Will Wesley continue to be an impact and give his team what they need to bring that luster back or will we see Wesley and TCU fall to the way side again? One can only hope.....
