The season is about 3/4 over and the conference races are heating up. Here is the breakdown.
ACC
Atlantic- Two horse race between Florida State and Boston College. Florida State has a 2 game advantage in the loss column but these two still play. Even so, BC is going to need some help from Miami to overtake Florida State for the birth in the title game. As long as the Seminoles take care of business they should face off against Virginia Tech in the ACC Championship
Coastal- While it is still possible for UNC to win the Coastal division, it seems unlikely. Virginia Tech is playing some of the best ball right now and has the #2 ranking to boot.
Prediction: Virginia Tech over Florida State
Big 12
The Big 12 has 3 teams left with chances to win the conference. Texas A&M and Kansas St. are both undefeated, and with every team playing each other in conference play, they both have everything to play for. Oklahoma State is an outsider, having already lost to TAMU, but they still have an outside shot.
Prediction: Texas A&M
Big East
Who would have thunk it? Connecticut on top of the Big East. Driccio has already taken care of his toughest match-ups, Pitt and WVU. Unless he slips up and Cinci has an amazing run he should have this one in the bag.
Prediction: Connecticut
Big 10
Legends- Michigan State has this one wrapped up. He has two games left in conference, but not only is his road easier than Michigans', he has a win over him too. Lock it up for the first Big 10 championship
Leaders- Clutersfuck. Everyone has 2 losses, literally as I write this, everyone has two losses. No clue who is going to come out of this division, but Penn State is my guess.
Prediction: Michigan State over Penn State
Conference USA
East- Another two horse race. This time between ECU and Central Florida. They play week 13, winner takes the East, simple as that.
West- Weird writing about myself in a conference race, and going to completely jynx myself in the process prob. Tulane, Tulsa and Houston all have 2 losses. Tulane and Tulsa both sit at 3-2, with the Green Wave holding the tie breaker... plus Tulsa and Houston still play. Tulane has winnable games, so it would not be out of the question.
Prediction: Central Florida over Tulane (boy can dream, can't he?)
MAC
East- Wayyyy to early in this race, get some games in MAC!
West- Hug me is a lock with Western Michigan
Prediction: Western Michigan over Ohio
Mountain West
Nole and Boise have beaten Air Force but still have UNLV and TCU to play. This conference isn't going to be decided until Week 14. Boise vs UNLV, Boise vs TCU, Air Force vs UNLV, TCU vs UNLV. So much at stake, anything is possible here. Nole had the pedigree and the best team, so he gets the edge.
Prediction: Boise State
Pac 12
North- Even though Oregon State just lost, the game vs Stanford will still decide the North most likely. Both teams are playing well, but Stanford may just be at another level.
South- If USC gets his games in, the division is his... if not, jeez, maybe Arizona State?
Prediction: Stanford over USC
SEC
East- South Carolina has won it.
West- Going out a limb here but Biffy has lost it. Everyone in the league is waiting for him to choke and you're gonna hear it here first. Mississippi State will win the West. Steamrollr has it all figured out and no one really wants to see Biffy win it anyways. Shel may or may not be a factor but it won't matter.
Prediction: Mississippi State over South Carolina
Sun Belt
Troy has the edge and a lot more games played than Arkansas State but they haven't played yet. MVikes has the look of a Sun Belt Champion.
Prediction: Troy
WAC
After a horrible starts to the season mtwasik has calmed down and now looks to be in control of the WAC, gobucks and Fresno will put up a good fight and has chance, but still has a long ways to go.
Prediction: Hawaii
