Article By: We have 8 undefeated teams left in the NDL, lets see what road they have ahead and what chances they have playing for the Championship.

Virginia Tech (6-0)
Rank: #2
Owner: VTrunNgun
History: A coach of great pedigree. He has run the table once in his career, with Tennessee in what was one of the greatest seasons ever. He also has some hardware to his name with an NDL Cup Championship. Was good in last years game, making a BCS bowl.
Schedule: Very favorable. He has already played his toughest games, and really shouldn't be challenged. Even the conference championship shouldn't be too tough in the weak ACC.
Odds: 85%. He has to screw this up. He has the best pedigree of any of the coaches left and knows how to win. He is in a weak conference and won't play a ranked team the rest of the season.

Kansas State (3-0)
Rank: #25
Owner: BigStimpin
History: Stimpin has been around forever, a season 2 vet. His history is a mixed one though. He has only one BCS bowl to his name and is .500 in bowl games. He has even been below .500 on a few occasions and missed bowl games.
Schedule: Impossible. He has barely touched his schedule and still has to play Texas, Oklahoma and Iowa State.
Odds: 5%. The season is too early for him and he will be lucky to survive with less than 3 losses.

Michigan State (6-0)
Rank: #9
Owner: Weasel
History: One of the great dynasty coaches. Weasel has been at Michigan State forever, but hasn't always had the best gameplay. While he is a yearly bowl team, he has only two conference championship to his name. He has also been woeful in bowl games, going 5-8.
Schedule: Reasonable. He has already played Michigan and Ohio State, as well as picking up some big wins against Cincinnati and Notre Dame. Might have some trouble vs. Iowa but the big challenge in Nebraska still looms. Not to mention the Big 10 championship.
Odds: 50%. Playing well, but isn't out of the woods yet. Jumps to 75% if he beats Nebraska.

Louisville (4-0)
Rank: #18
Owner: mcx79
History: Another coach that has been around forever, season 5. In that time though, he has been good, but that's all... just good. He has only one conference championship and averages almost 5 losses a season, although he has been better of late.
Schedule: Rough. He has picked up a few key wins but still has some tough games ahead vs. Connecticut and West Virginia.
Odds: 10%. Playing well, but still has 8 games to go, odds are he will lose at least one of them.

Stanford (6-0)
Rank: #4
Owner: plasma1894
History: The least seasoned coach on our list, he has only 5 seasons to his name. Also one of the least storied. He averages over 5 losses a season and has no real hardware to his name, but he has never had a team this good.
Schedule: Tough road ahead. He has played basically his 6 easiest games so far. USC, Oregon, Oregon St, and Notre Dame still to play.
Odds: 15%. He hasn't really played anyone yet. His history shows he will lose, and more than once.
Oregon State (4-0)
Rank: #11
Owner: runthepound
History: Another vet from season 5. He has been all over the place. He has been good, even nearing great on a few occasions, but has never made that jump to the big time. He does have 4 conference championships however.
Schedule: Improbable. He hasn't played anyone too tough yet. Still has Stanford and Oregon to play.
Odds: 20%. The schedule isn't too rough, but he isn't playing at the top of his game. Still has 8 games to play and figures to lose at least twice.

South Carolina (7-0)
Rank: #3
Owner: Champdizzle
History: The only coach left with the big hardware. He has an NDL championship to his name, although it was way back in Season 2. In fact, this vet of nearly every season has only 1 conference championship to his name. Don't be fooled though, those days are long gone. In the past 10+ seasons, he has averaged over 6 losses a season.
Schedule: Just starting. He may only have 5 games left, but will have to play Miss St, Arkansas and Florida in that stretch, plus the SEC Championship. He hasn't beaten anyone amazing yet either.
Odds: 15%. Product of his schedule. Hasn't amazed in his wins, and hasn't beaten a ranked team yet. With so many rough games ahead, odds aren't in his favor.

Alabama (7-0)
Rank: #1
Owner: Bfivl
History: He was good for a while, but only recently has he been great. He has dynastied Alabama forever and has shown signs of greatness of late, but still lacks any proof. He has only one conference championship to his name and carries a 1-16 bowl record.
Schedule: Downhill. He has already beaten a few ranked teams, but will still have bumps in the road in Miss St and LSU; plus the SEC Championship.
Odds: 40%. He has beaten ranked teams, but history shows he struggles in big games. Likely to choke a game away or the SEC championship.
Final Analysis: The stars have aligned for VTrunNgun. He really has to screw this up to not run the table. He is the best coach with the best team in a weak conference. His opponent though is still unknown. This could be biffy's year, but history says no. A team who has already lost could make their way up the polls.
