B1G - Quest for the Cup - Rnd 3

The numbers are slowly dwindling and but there is still some ammo left in the chamber. Unfortunately, as I already know 1 result for this round, the conference is in serious trouble with 3 of it's B1G dawgs out of the tournament. But keep and eye out, because it's time for the us to be the giant killers!

Ohio State @ Stanford

- This one is already in the books. I would have put my money on a very close game, with Niddler putting TP on the field and stealing a W. Unfortunately, the TP was stuck on his bunghole for this game.

Prediction: Ohio State by 1

Purdue @ Missouri

- The Boilermakers knocked the Ole Miss Rebels out of the tournament in round 2 and now they are lined up with a 0-2 in NDL play, Missouri. Don't dismiss them based on record though, Missouri has a talented coach at the helm that will catch on very soon.

Prediction: Purdue by 3

Iowa @ Nebraska

- The Cornhuskers cruised past the Temple Owls, while the Hawkeyes had to earn it in a showdown with the feisty Bearcats. This is a B1G showdown that will knock one of the top remaining conference squads out of the tournament. Whoever wins better be ready to carry the B1G banner the rest of the way!

Prediction: Nebraska by 4

Penn St. @ Nevada

- After handling the rushing attack of Navy last round, the Nittany Lions are ready to square off with the might Wolfpack. Nevada is currently 0-2 in league play and I expect the Lions front 7 to control this game, just like that last one. PSU could use this game to make a statement about their desire to win the Cup!

Prediction: PSU by 9

Michigan @ Southern Miss

- Shoelace hasn't had much reason to worry so far in the tournament and he should be able to soar by the Eagles defense in this match up. Look for the Wolverines to work efficiently with V. Smith and D. Robinson and try to make it 4 teams in the next round!

Prediction: Michigan by 10

I would be predicting 5-0 and not just because I'm the conference commish. I think the matchups genuinely favor everyone and the coaches that are left are simply that good. I know we've got 1 man down already, but there's no reason that the 4 Horsemen can't ride into the Sweet 16. 25% of the Sweet 16, with Mike having his issues, niddler going down and the hottest coach in the conference, Weasel, already out, would make a serious statement about the depth of the B1G! Great job!
