Celebrating the ten worst teams in the NDL because hey, we all need a little encouragement right? Or maybe just a better team. Or some skill...
10. Western Kentucky Hilltoppers 1-4 (0-1 Sun Belt)iRoccafella
The Hilltoppers don't actually have that bad of an offense. They just can't play defense. And their only win came against a team whose sole win is against #7 on this list, so that's not saying much.
9. Central Michigan Chippewas 0-3 (0-1 MAC)Bernie32
The first of four teams on this list from the Mid-American Conference, the Chippewas are averaging an astonishing 3 yards per game on the ground. Central Michigan may manage some wins in a shitty MAC conference that's only amassed a total of 8 wins this season (4 of which have come from rolling Western Michigan), but don't expect them to find any post-season action.
8. Bowling Green Falcons 0-3 (0-0 MAC)krgkmg
Both the Falcons and Coach krgkmg found themselves on this list last season, just not together. Krgkmg went 0-11 last season with Colorado State before finally winning their final game. When you're averaging -12 yards per game rushing and over 4 turnovers per game, it looks like Krgkmg is steering the Falcons in the same direction.
7. South Florida Bulls 1-5 (0-1 Big East)nick
Nick went 9-5 with Ohio last season and thought he could slither his way through the Big East by drafting South Florida. At 1-5 (and the majority of conference play still to come), Nick should start worrying more about closing out games and less about post counts.
6. Wake Forest Demon Deacons 0-3 (0-0 ACC)Vttwinky34
Getting blown out by Cal was one thing, but losses to Temple and Hawaii won't cut it. And with #19 Florida State, #11 Virginia Tech, and Clemson on the horizon, it'll be a real chore for Vttwinky to beat his single-season win record...3.
5. Louisiana Tech Bulldogs 0-3 (0-0 WAC)gambit725
Sometimes boldness gets you nowhere but worst-of lists. Not saying that Gambit was being bold scheduling non-conference games against Penn State, Iowa, Michigan State, and West Virginia. But if I had to choose between scheduling possible wins and getting my ass beat by superior teams, I choose the pussy way out every time.
4. Northern Illinois Huskies 0-3 (0-0 MAC)beercop
The Huskies average just over 5 points per game and only 145 yards per game in total offense. With a combined conference record of all teams at 8-32, the NIU will have a chance to put up some Ws, but they'll need to get the offense going if they want to pull any out.
3. Rice Owls 0-3 (0-0 C-USA)tball275
Coach Tball claims he's losing because he aims to be the next Larry Coker. I say it's a lazy excuse to defend a 16-game losing streak. Uuaww broke his losing streak this past weekend. Can Tball finally do the same?
2. Memphis Tigers 0-3 (0-0 C-USA)dfwtx214
Well the guy that took the #3 team on this list to a 1-11 record last season seems to have intentions of doing the same with Memphis this season. In just three games, the Tigers have been outscored 88-7. They rank among the bottom 20% in nearly all of the team stat categories. QB Andy Summerlin has thrown 0 TDs to 10 interceptions. Ouch.
If you look up pitiful in the dictionary, there'd be a picture of the Eastern Michigan football team. And it's not all Wasted Memory's fault. This team was #1 on the final Bottom 10 last season as well. They've been outscored 104-7 so far this season. What's even more pitiful is that they're holding onto the ball an average of over 4 minutes per game longer than their opponents, which is probably where their 4 turnovers per game comes into play. Wasted Memory will want to have just that after this season is over.
