Article By: Well, it is that time of year again, and thank the Lord for it! College football is upon us yet again. The ACC is poised to yet again be one of the top conferences in all of the NDL. There is talent on the field and on the sticks and just overall football minds are unsurpassed in this conference. It also seems a consistent theme that several coaches were able to select their real life teams for this season so that always adds to the fun and intensity of the NDL season!
The Atlantic Division looks to be very competitive Maryland, Florida State, and Clemson appear to be the most talented squads in the division with quality coaches from top to bottom. The division should look something like this:
Clemson
Florida State
Maryland
Boston College
NC State
Wake Forest
Very tough call because coaches like DeeDub extends his dynasty at Clemson, FSUPenguin continues on in Tally, Harder is taking over the Terps Holmey-keeps his NC State gig going, Shift and VTtwinky are also in first years at the respective schools. All these guys are great assets to the league as players and just peeps in general. Just have to go w/overall talent of the teams here for division rule.
The Coastal Divison shapes up very strong this upcoming season as Corey goes back to his native Coral Gables and takes over the Canes. Chase hangs onto his beloved Hokies. Don't believe Kurt, Toro, Wsdp and Oracle are at their favorite schools, but that won't prevent them from having great to solid campaigns this season. The Coastal may end up looking like this for the upcoming season.

This should leave the ACC Title game to shape up to have Virginia Tech vs Clemson. Will have to give the edge at this point to the Hokies, could this be for a spot in the BCS title game? With this much of a competitive balance, it is doubtful but there are at least 4 teams that I feel have a shot at getting into the title game from the ACC, and can see upto 8 or 9 teams fighting for bowl eligibility this season. All are possible w/some breaks but feel that the talent levels for some teams may be too much to overcome.
Key games on the schedule:
Week 5-Clemson vs FSU very well could decide the Atlantic, but it's pretty early on in the season
Week 7-Miami @ Va Tech-same as above except for the Coastal, very well may come down to being in Blacksburg
Week 12-FSU vs Tha U-Always a mark your calendar game
Player of the Year-Jacory Harris QB @ tha U. Hope Corey goes w/him cause that would look silly if I picked a guy who ends up not even starting!
Coach of the Year-Chase aka VTRunNGun-guess if you win the conference(as predicted)you have good shot at being the coach of the year no?!
I am not usually very accurate on these preseason pick, so don't worry if your team isn't picked very high for the season.
Either way this looks to be a very fun and engaging ACC this season. Let's have some fun this year!
