The Bottom 10 (After Week 8)

Article By: NCAA Dynasty League

We didn't lose the game; we just ran out of time. ~ Vince Lombardi

Maybe Vince is right. Maybe you did just run out of time. Maybe things just didn't go your way. Or maybe you suck so much that a representative from Hoover called and asked for tips. Any which way you dice it, you found yourself in the Bottom 10.

10. Buffalo Bulls 0-4 (0-2 MAC) trendon

Perhaps Trendon was worrying too much about hipsters forcing their iPhone philosophy on him while sipping on Starbucks and listening to My Chemical Romance that he's averaging only 11 points a game. Fuck you hipsters.

9. UNLV Rebels 1-7 (0-4 MWC) mtwasik

The Rebels can score, they just can't play defense, giving up over 32 points a game. And if UNLV continues turning the ball over more than 3 times a game like they've been doing (6th-worst in the league), they'll begin a steady climb on this list.

8. Kent State Golden Flashes 1-7 (1-4 MAC) Yragha

The Golden Flashes managed a win against Bowling Green (a team heavily considered for this list) since the last list, but dropped two more games as well. At least they finally recorded a sack AND a fumble recovery (something they hadn't done through the first 4 games).

7. Ole Miss Rebels 0-6 (0-3 SEC) tball275

The second Rebels team to find themselves on the bad list for the first time, tball and Ole Miss have suffered some tough close losses. They failed to close in games against Purdue, Auburn, and Miami (OH), games they lost by a combined 11 points.

6. Tulsa Golden Hurricane 0-6 (0-2 C-USA) tig5165

When you're third-worst in points allowed (38 per game), sometimes you just don't want to come out of the locker room. Or in this case, turn on your PS3.

5. Minnesota Golden Gophers 0-7 (0-4 Big Ten) gambit725

Dropping three spots after dropping three more games, Minnesota better stop dropping and start picking up.

4. Colorado State Rams 0-6 (0-3 MWC) krgkmg

The Rams are scoring a little bit more than the last time we talked about them, but it's not enough to translate to any wins. Their next game is against #9 on this list, UNLV. That's sure to be a barn-burner.

3. Arizona State Sun Devils 1-5 (0-3 PAC-10) beercop

The Sun Devils failed to keep it close against a fledging California team but dominated a tough Navy team 31-7 in Annapolis. Congrats, you're no longer the worst team in the NDL. Just the third-worst team.

2. Western Kentucky Hilltoppers 1-6 (0-3 Sun Belt) UCLAMac

Their sole win came via a sim against a New Mexico State team with no coach. Their opponent record is a measly 15-25, one of the worst among teams playing at least six games this season. They rank in the 100s in eight of the eleven team stat categories. There's light at the end of the tunnel in a crappy Sun Belt conference, but it seems UCLAMac's biggest problem may be just getting his opponents to actually play their games.

1. Eastern Michigan Eagles 0-7 (0-4 MAC) OutRage

There doesn't seem to be ANY light at the end of the tunnel for the Eagles. Eastern Michigan continues to get blown out and are averaging a league-worst 6.6 points per game. I'm not sure how to decipher this team, as they're only turning the ball over about once per game but holding onto the ball just as much as their opponents in terms of time of possession. There are obviously some major problems in Ypsilanti (there's that damn word again).
