Nebraska has gotten off to a great start this season, sitting at 5-0 and looking to run the table for a second straight year. Oklahoma State's recent loss sets the Cowboys back, but now they will have to turn their attention to focusing on the Big 12 Title. The Big 12 looks to be a 4 team race and after this week 8 game things will be clearer on how far these two teams are capable of going.
THINGS TO LOOK FOR:
Nebraska:
Nebraska comes at you in a lot of different ways running the ball. Roy Helu Jr, Cody Green, and Rex Burkhead all have over 200 yards on the ground and have all carried the ball at least 30 times. When you focus on the run Cody Green will beat you with the pass. He has completed 67 of his 79 passes for 1357 and 7 TDS.
Oklahoma State:
The Cowboys are more of a one feature back style offense. Kendall Hunter has carried the ball 62 times for 310 yards and 4 TDS. Brandon Weeden calls the plays and has completed 51 of 74 for 1309 and 11 TDS. Josh Cooper is a deep threat averaging over 35 yards per catch.
PREDICTION:
This should be a great game with two great coaches. Nebraska looks to keep momentum, while Oklahoma State is looking to bounce back after their recent loss. Could go either way, but Nebraska just has to many weapons coming out of that backfield. I think fairly low scoring 21-17 Nebraska
