Season 21 is underway and some teams have begun to move up the rankings, while others have stumbled out the gate and will be trying to get back on track before they completely derail. LSU has been dominating in their first two games outscoring their opponents 56-7. Ohio State hasn't accumulated any stats to this point, but the league knows what their capable of. The Buckeye's are at Georgia for week 1, and have a bye for week 2.
Things To Watch:
Ohio State:
Buckeye is back for his third season with the Buckeye's, after going 20-5 in the previous 2. Ranked 91st in scoring last season, Ohio State needs to find ways to get more points on the boad in season 21. The defense played very well, allowing 15 points per game, ranking 3rd in the league. The Buckeyes will have to get more out of Pryor and the passing game or the great defenses will load the box and force Pryor into obvious passing situations.
LSU
Shel is back for his fourth season, after going 38-2 in the previous 3. The Tigers have been able to jump out to big leads early and made opponents one dimensional. Jordan Jefferson is off to a great start completing 20 of the 26 passes he's attempted for 451 yards and 7 TDS. Russel Shepard leads the team with 8 receptions, but Toliver leads in yardage with 201.
Prediction:
Ohio State needs to find a way to shorten the game and keep the LSU offense off the field to have any chance. The Tigers will be looking to start fast and get out to a comfortbale lead early. Popularity pick in this one probably goes to the Tigers, but if Ohio State can give Pryor some time it could go either way. As for my prediction, LSU just has to many weapons for Ohio State to overcome. Close game early, but LSU pulls away in the end 35-21
