The Houston Cougars open up Season 21 with high expectations. The Cougars would lose their season opener to UTEP last year and then go undefeated the rest of the conference season and only losing one out of conference game to Texas A&M. UTEP would represent the West Division of the C-USA due to their head-to-head battle to begin the season.
Houston looks to rebound this year and make their way back to the C-USA Championship game. They have the weapons to do so. This will be the toughest OOC schedule the Cougars have faced in recent memory, but it should help make for a strong finish in conference play. And who knows, if Houston can close out a few games and win their OOC games, they might just crack the elusive BCS this year.
