Overview
The Sun Belt Conference gets underway with this early season clash between two undefeated teams. Louisiana-Lafayette comes in at 2-0 as they squeaked out wins against Rice(31-28) and Arkansas St(30-27 OT). Middle Tennessee St on the otherhand comes in at 1-0 with a 20-6 win over Bowling Green.

The Outcome
It will be an air assault versus a ground attack when these two meet. For the Blue Raiders Phillip Tanner was a beast with 154 yards on 18 carries. Dwight Dasher is steady at QB and has the mobility to throw in the option attack. The Rajin Cajuns counter with QB Chris Masson who has 755 yards in only two games going 55 for 88 with 7 TD's and only 2 int's. They don't run much but in two games have been in shootouts. The Blue Raiders will try to slow this game down with a running game while the Rajin Cajuns will air it out to get out to a quick lead.

I like shiftdnb's Golden Eagles to beat mcx's Bulls in this game. Southern Mississippi is a team that always contends for a Conference USA Championship. Both solid veteran coaches that should put up alot of points.
Note: Game was already played when we went to press with Southern Miss winning 45-35 in a 21 point comeback.
