Anks Preseason Heisman Hopefuls

Article By: NCAA Dynasty League

1. Ryan Mallett QB Arkansas
Mallett has all the tools to walk away with the Heisman trophey this season..At 6-7 and 238 lbs. the Jr. shouldnt have any problems finding his wideouts this year. Coach Mike J. has what it takes to lead Mallett to the award, but a tough SEC could be his downfall. The Razorbacks will go as far as Ryan can take them...and 10 wins should mean a Heisman in fayetteville this year.

2. Mark Ingram RB Alabama
Ingram is the best RB in the NDL...no question about it, so will BFIVL turn him loose and let him run or mix the ball around to the other talented Tide players? Ingram has the size and speed to not only impact a game, but to dominate the game. The line is strong and experienced and should open up enough running lanes for Ingram to have a huge season. Only problem I see with Marks chances of running away with the Heisman...is Alabama is loaded at the skill positions and Coach Bama will spread the ball out.

3. Kellen Moore QB Boise
Hmmm! How did I come up with this? Coach Big Mike on a top 5 team, in a terrible conference and a big armed quarterback!
Moore is hands down my favorite to take the hardware back to Boise and the WAC conf. Kellen has weapons galore at the WR position and should take advantage of a conference full of weak defensive backs all year long. Moore might not just win the Heisman he might put up passing stats like the NDL has never seen before. Moores downfall might be the WAC and his opps. Nevada is the best in conference team Boise will face and their preseason ranking is a loftey 57. Boise runs the table in the WAC..but will that be enough?

4. Michael Floyd WR Notre Dame
Coach TKpeterson will miss Golden Tate and Clausin from his roster for sure..but lets not throw him a pity party just yet. WR Michael Floyd is now the main goto guy for the Irish, Floyds numbers should flurish in this run and shoot system that Notre Dame brings to the table this season. Floyd has the size to go up and get the ball against the smaller defensive backs and the speed to run past most anyone. If Notre Dame and Coach TK can keep the Irish winning Floyd could sneak into the Heisman talk late into the season.

5. Noel Devine RB WVU
Teams that face Coach Talented and WVU...LOOK OUT! Devine has wicked speed and once he gets the corner its all over. Noel also has some of the best hands out of the backfield in the NDL. WVU will use devine in the passing game as much as he runs the ball and this wil cause double the headache for Big East teams. Devines tiny stature makes him hard to locate at the beginning of the play and then by the time you spot him it could be too late with his 4.3 speed. If WV can win and Devine stays healthy this could be a breakout season for #7 and the Mountaineers.

6. Terrelle Pryor QB Ohio St.
Could this be the year that Pryor shows the NDL his full package? Terrelle is once again the most mobile quarterback in the NDL...this duel threat makes him an automatic contender for the Heisman. Pryors passing skills have improved greatly to match his running attitude and skills. Coach Buckeye76 is liking what he has seen from Pryor early in the NDL preseason and knows he has a great leader in his backfield. Ohio State is #2 in the polls and any kind of set back might put the Heisman talk to rest for Pryor the buckeyes early.

7. A.J. Green WR Georgia
A.J. Green is a great wide receiver in a great system that will allow him to put up Heisman like numbers. Coach Drey is back home in Athens Ga. and wants everyone to know more about his WR A.J. Green. Coach Drey will need to find ways to get the ball into Greens hands by more then just passing. Green is not only one of the best playmakers for UGA but the entire NDL. I like Greens chances at the Heisman if he can get enough touches.

OTHERS TO WATCH

1. John Clay RB Wisconsin
Clay is in a system that always produces great college backs...this year will be no different! Clay will run behind maybe the best line in the NDL and is a bruising back that no one will bring down 1 on 1.

2. Case Keenum QB Houston
Keenum is overall the best QB in the NDL..He has a cannon like arm and a group of wide-receivers that are very talented..Only problem he plays in Conf. USA and Houstons non conf. schedule usually includes the worst of worst in the NDL.

3. Dion Lewis RB Pitt
The sophmore should dominate the big east and their less then average defenses..Watch for Lewis to creep up my list week after week and maybe be my darkhorse that walks away with the award. Lewis does play with J. Baldwin and this will take touches away from him.
