Dez Bryant ruled ineligible for the remainder of the season

WOW!!
By far the best WR in college football right now. Dude was better than Crabtree last year but for some reason, Crabtree got ALL the pub, but I digress.
Pretty big news here. He was easily the #1 WR on the draft board. This could hurt him, but I'd guess he can still come out as the #1 WR in the draft.
Crazy stuff.

Re: Dez Bryant ruled ineligible for the remainder of the season
he is set to make millions next year either way. he is #1 on the boards, and I think he will stay there.
nfl teams don't give a shit about academics.look at ja-horrible in oakland. he is as smart as a pet rock just catch the ball and your lightning quick ,sign on the dotted line.

Re: Dez Bryant ruled ineligible for the remainder of the season
Yup. If academics mattered they wouldn't allow kids to leave early.

Re: Dez Bryant ruled ineligible for the remainder of the season
it had nothing to do with academics... wasn't it because he went to Primetime's house and lied to NCAA about it?

Re: Dez Bryant ruled ineligible for the remainder of the season
I'm under the impression that is the reason why he's ineligible.DRiccio21 wrote:it had nothing to do with academics... wasn't it because he went to Primetime's house and lied to NCAA about it?
Re: Dez Bryant ruled ineligible for the remainder of the season
I'm too lazy to read it, and if I'm not hearing much about it, it can't be that bad and has to be a petty rule.

Re: Dez Bryant ruled ineligible for the remainder of the season
Fucking weak by the NCAA if you ask me
He was allowed to meet and go to Sanders' house but since he thought it was a violation after they made it a point to ask him about the situation, he told them he hadn't done it."What got (Bryant) in trouble was not being truthful with the NCAA," the source said.
Re: Dez Bryant ruled ineligible for the remainder of the season
i've been thru 3 years of compliance meetings and let me tell you the shit you can get in trouble for is INSANE... i'm sure mtwasik could elaborate, but lying to the NCAA about ANYTHING will get you in serious shit. this is a perfect example.
they guide you in and out of just about every situation and explain to you what you can and can't do and the main thing they always said was to be honest and upfront even if you THINK you messed up. this is why you see a ton of schools turn themselves in when the heat comes on a program, so they only get a slap on the wrist rather then a big penalty.
its bullshit and its stupid and petty, but he did lie and i'm 100% positive he knew the ramifications when he did it

keep deion away from these college kids. deion is a middle man between agent eugene parker and these kids. eugene parker was deions agent and probably still does for him now. how the fuck do you think deion had information in regards to the crabtree offers that opened up a tampering case? I can bet that bryant signs with parker as a agent this offseason. trust me deion has his pockets full of green as well.

Deion......even in retirement he is a lockdown corner keeping the ball out of receivers' hands.
*rim shot*
yes, yes...probably everyone has heard it a 1000+ times by now.

I stand corrected for thinking it was academics.
There are kids who do get suspended for academics and I don't understand how. If you have amazing talent on the football field and your teacher isn't keeping you eligible, you're doing something wrong.

i beleive he got hurt in college shortly after "gracing" the cover.nick wrote:DRiccio21 wrote:SI jinx? he was on the cover like 2 weeks ago i think
Adrian peterson was on the cover with "Domination" as the title. and he's dominated the NFL. the SI Jinx is like a placebo.
Re: Dez Bryant ruled ineligible for the remainder of the season
he was on the cover like 3 weeks ago. i dont see him dead. its like an excuse nowadays. "Was he hurt? Okay check madden, is he on there? no? ok, check any Sports Illustrated from the last 4-8 weeks. he's on one!!?! SI JINX!"texasfan4444 wrote:i beleive he got hurt in college shortly after "gracing" the cover.nick wrote:DRiccio21 wrote:SI jinx? he was on the cover like 2 weeks ago i think

Re: Dez Bryant ruled ineligible for the remainder of the season
That was because of Al Davis' "great" drafting skills. I mean look who he drafted this year...DHB has more dropped balls than catches.plasma1896 wrote:he is set to make millions next year either way. he is #1 on the boards, and I think he will stay there.

I think the entire Raiders team has more drops than catches.RyanWest wrote:That was because of Al Davis' "great" drafting skills.
