**New Rules for 2010** - EVERYONE MUST READ
Follow to link below, new rules highlighted in RED
Failure to read or know these rules is not a valid excuse for not following them.
Lets not get trigger happy when evaluating your opponent. Its obvious when this happens, lets not speculate about it. if there is a complaint, submit it to your conference commish with EA video from the game if necessary.
I expect less incidents that I can count on one hand this version. We're all adults here, lets play like it

Re: **New Rules for 2010** - EVERYONE MUST READ
i have a question
say its a goalline play, and i'm going to sell out run
are we allowed to hit down AFTER the snap to play the run? or is that also considered guess the run? also are we allowed to guess pass?

Re: **New Rules for 2010** - EVERYONE MUST READ

the rules are simply about chew the clock and pre snap L2 verse the run

Yea, this is very good. I always have in the back of my mind on short yardage and goal line situations that someone might suddenly pull that stuff out. Luckily now it won't be an issue.

For riccio's question - u ARE still allowed to press r3 down which this year doesn't commit run...it jumps snap.
While somewhat effective it's nowhere near overdone so defintely allowed.....in moderation lol

So the guess run is banned, but we can guess pass, correct?

As someone who crashes my line yet hasnt tried the L2 thing, am I going to get docked for crashing and my opponents thinking Im 'guessing run'? Or is the guessing thing a big enough difference where this shouldnt be an issue
Re: **New Rules for 2010** - EVERYONE MUST READ
Are we not able to use the "chew clock" thing when games are in that 28-35 point or more range, IF both coaches are in favor of it?
I know I've been in a blowout before that I wanted the other guy to just run it out.

Don't forget there is a fail safe way to check if your opponent pulled off Key Run or simply crashed.Weasel wrote:As someone who crashes my line yet hasnt tried the L2 thing, am I going to get docked for crashing and my opponents thinking Im 'guessing run'? When you do the L2, Guess Run feature and you pick the right direction or blow it up in the backfield, Season Showdown pops up and says +5 points. The reward system makes it clear of what your opponent did.
If you do shifts or slants in one direction normally, then you don't get the Season Showdown points. Whether you guess the right direction or not.

true...but the big question is how can the diff be proven in a video. the replays dont show the points.VTrunNgun wrote:Don't forget there is a fail safe way to check if your opponent pulled off Key Run or simply crashed.Weasel wrote:As someone who crashes my line yet hasnt tried the L2 thing, am I going to get docked for crashing and my opponents thinking Im 'guessing run'?
