Re: Workout Songs
Using Spotify?
They have a bunch of workout playlists and a ton of songs for certain "moods".
Try that as well.

It's free.nick wrote:never used spotify. hmm.. is it worth it? (probably yes lol)
You only pay if you want to pick specific songs to listen to.
I have a playlist of over 5000 songs and continually add. I just always shuffle them so its great.
You can do that for any artist, album, or playlist. Just can't specifically play a song without the premium version which is fine with me. I am never like, "I need to hear this exact song right now!!!"
Re: Workout Songs
lock er up. Thanks Corey!
Re: Workout Songs
I pay for Spotify but it is still worth it. Creating your own playlists and being able to pull songs offline is so convenient.

Re: Workout Songs
I have pandora premium that someone sent me. If I give a song a thumbs up it asks me if I want to download it.
If anyone wants it, send me a PM with your email

Re: Workout Songs
I like Rock songs when I run.nick wrote:can we start naming songs? lol.
Five Finger Deathpunch
In This Moment
Otherwise
Volbeat
Avenged Sevenfold
Black Sabbath - their last album "13"
Disturbed
Bullet for my Valentine
Falling in Reverse
Slipknot
Biggest thing for me is finding something that I can keep a good running cadence to. I have found that Ramstein is a little too fast and I wear out quickly.

Re: Workout Songs
I listen to Audible about 99% of the time on my runs.
The other 1% is some “what’s new?” from the rock, pop, hip hop selections on Spotify.
And of course Swifty.

Re: Workout Songs
I listen to anything when I work otu. I have backstreet boys on my phone and people give me looks. But to me its about the moments
squats - heavy stuff
high rep - just stuff to keep me going
eliptical - longer songs / catchy pop songs cause time flies
Jesus of Surburbia by Green Day is a pretty alright song... and its also 9 minutes long so if you do 30 mins and you listen to that, you go into a trance of listening to the song and dont realize that 1/3rd of your thing is done.
Also i learned that sport is keyyy. Have day off so went in day and was watching Bos-Hou on the TV and 30 mins went by like it was 5.

Re: Workout Songs
eliptical I like Ramstein because it forces you to keep the cadence up, every time the beat hits I try to have my left foot be on the down stroke (or a variation of it).
Green Day is good listening music as well. Usually fast enough to keep a pace but not fast enough to kill me.
As far as lifting, yea....I don't do that. I'd rather run or bike.
Speaking of biking, just bought a new Trek for the wife and myself. She's a cheapo and bought a WalMart bike before when I told her not to. We went biking the other day and she couldn't keep up because it's like trying to pedal a tank around the trails. Got her a Trek Sky WSD. I was looking as well, was going to get a Trek Marlin 7 but saw the Trek X-Caliber 7 (2016 model) as their deal of the week. It was normally priced at a grand. Got it for $700. Awesome bike! Now I got to get her to go on long rides with me. Did 35 miles in Korea a couple of times and went into the mountains to trail ride every weekend
