Update DL time from 14 days to 10(MLB is 10)

Just putting this here to remind myself to create a poll in the offseason and also for discussion on anything I am missing for why we shouldn't change this.

MLB converted to 10Day DL and think we should as well.

While I agree it also impacts everyone and not looking for approval if you will, but more so what am I possibly missing by flipping the switch if anyone sees anything.

Would it actually effect us much since we sim a week at a time? I know it technically can, but it seems like it would not have as much of an effect

Ya putting a guy on DL for a short injury means he isn't back until the end of the 2nd sim week anyway. IMO it should either be 14 or 7.

if someone gets hurt mid week it goes back to that date so u could miss out on them for 1 sim instead of 2

yeah you cant use them anyways on the DL so if I understand it correctly moving to 10 days means they just sit until the 2nd sim anyways unused and we still cant move them from DL until 2nd sim. so whatever you do will not change anything...right? unless you move to 7 days

DL moves are retroactive to when they got hurt, so no

If a guy gets hurt mid way through a sim, you can DL him and it'll be retroactive to hurt date, it could fall so that he is eligible to come off after just 1 sim as comapred to the 14 minimum which makes it a guaranteed missing 2+ sims

changing it from 14 to 10 does nothing negative and if anything gets a player back 1 sim before normal. dont see why it would be opposed.

ex: your player gets hurt on Monday and goes on DL. u put on 14 at end of week retro 6 days, still 8 more days or 2 more sims. so u miss out on that player for an extra sim. If it was 10 games, itd already be 6, 4 more and he'd miss 3 games instead of 6.
