Any one know of any good deals for Black Friday. Needed to get a 4K player and thought I might as well get the X Box.

Thanks Joe. 299 is about what I have seen as best for the 1 TB. I did see gamestop offer and extra 50 off if purchased this week too.

We just got one for my youngest son for Christmas for $219 from Kohl's. They had an offer where they throw in $40 of Kohl's Cash which you can immediately apply to the purchase. Now I have to decide which games to buy of the 29 different games he says he wants.

I am loving my XB1S and have talked about it here a lot. It is a fantastic media hub and the Snap feature is fantastic among the other capabilities of XBLive. It destroys PS+ in terms of value and actual quality of games and the backward compatibility is great for someone that never had a 360 and have played a lot of games I never have before.

The 4K blu ray is nice but I never rent or buy movies.

Do you have a remote for it? Id like something more stock for my wife to use when I'm not home. I see remotes for the X Box One but not the S.

and do I need the live service to access Netflix? or just for the games?

Just the games and to play online and yes they have remotes. If it works for the XB1, it works for the XB1S.

$30 a year and you get access to every single EA game of past and future in the "vault"

The new madden and FIFA are in there now as an example. You have access to the games as long as you keep your subscription.

Yes, EA made a deal with XB only. $4.99 a month or $30 per year.

The games aren't in the vault immediately after release of course but for someone like me with a huge backlog of games and madden is not THAT old, it's a hell of a deal.

You also get to trial new EA games early and discounts.

Picked up a 1 TB Xbox one S with gears of war for $299 at Best Buy. I had a $50 gift card to Best Buy and got a elite rewards coupon for $40 and $15 off of Xbox live and six months w/no finance charges. Plus didn't have to deal with all kinds of stupid on black Friday....

Plugged it in and did the update and downloads last night. Tonight I set up Live TV and link all my services. Looking forward to staying up late tonight!

Found a cool remote too so I can use it more like a BR/4K player for $15

I plan on it.

I've also heard some good things about Gears of War, so I'm looking forwards to testing that out over the weekend. Its going to take a little getting used to the controller though. It felt clumsy yesterday in the little bit that I used it.

Since you got the GoW bundle like I did, they will send you codes for the original games 1-3 to run through those first if you want to go in order. Backwards compatibility opens up a whole world of games we never played during the PS ages of NDL as I have always been a SONY man.

Mine came about 3 weeks after purchase but they are free.

I switch back and forth and play the free stuff from PS+ in my backlog on the PS4 and also their exclusives are better right now with the Uncharted series leading the way.

But most of my time is on the XB platform as their sales are excellent on digital content as i dont buy discs anymore and their free games are fantastic as you get 4 free a month. 2 XB1 games and usually 2 backwards compatible 360 games.
