Best Buy TV..Need help! Shopping time

Post by xLiQx »

Okay guys, here is the deal, been shopping around a lot, and I am going with a Best Buy TV, around $1,000 bucks, 65" plus inch. I use the TV for my ps4, and watching tv/sports/movies. I am wondering what the best deal is going to be, and what is worth it or not, I see a few different ones for around 1200 or less, wondering if anyone has recently or has a better deal I can find there. I would really like to get one today, rather than wait till November when they have the Cyber Monday or Black Friday, let me know! THanks again guys

The reviews on the Vizo and the Sharp 70" were good, so I think I am going that route, just not sure why go with the sharp for an extra 100 basically!

Vizio is a very good brand.
They remind me of Samsung about 20 years ago when I was selling TVs at Best Buy.
You get a lot of good features and a great product for the price.

Samsung was them back then. Great product for a very cheap price in those days, compared to any other brand. Now, Samsung's are pretty much what everyone compares everything else to.

Thanks Niddler, that is kind of the route I think I am going, the feedback on that TV even on other sites is good, and thye seem to have great customer service, and I have always enjoyed buying things thorugh best buy, good luck with them so far anyways.

Is it worth getting the Geek squad coverage on my TV? 1299.99 for the tv, and 169 for a 2 year, or 299 for a 5year? is that worth it, maybe someone who has experienced it. From working in other indurstrys' usually the service plans are a gimmick basically, the tv is covered for 1 year I do believe from Vizio itself.

I always buy the warranty, but it depends on the price.
$300 is kind of steep, but it gives you 5 years of in-home service where they come to you.
The manufacturer will be 1 year and you have to pay to send it to them.
The other advantage is that the Best Buy warranty will be honored even if they (BestBuy or Vizio) go out of business.

Okay, so I got suckered haha, I went in to the store today, and they didn't have the Vizio in stock, but they said they would give me $200 off the Vizio 70" 4k TV sale price of 1999.99 already

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/vizio-m-ser ... Id=3733013

That puts the TV at 1799.99, is that worth paying the extra 500 for? I can still get it ordered online and have it shipped. I have a coupon for %10 off purchase of 800 or more as well, but he isn't sure if he can use that, since he is knocking off 200 off already, we will see. But is it worth the extra 600 plus dollars (cause I can use the %10 off on the Vizio at 1299.99. I also don't pay sales tax either.

Since you are getting the money off and you pay no tax, I would play games with him and tell him if he takes the 10% off, you will buy the $500 warranty for it.
In the end, you are paying about the regular price of the tv with a 5 year service plan.
